If you're going to play this game, 2008 Florida lost to fricking Ole Miss. Would you say 2006 Florida is better?

By 1 point, and they finished #15 after whooping up on #7 in the Cotton Bowl.

Yes we all get it.
It was like an NFL game. Except for the fact that:
1. neither team had a QB that could complete a TD pass during the entire game.
2. Neither team had a WR that could run a decent route and get open for a TD pass during the entire game.
3. Neither team had a RB who was good enough to break a tackle or two and score a TD.
You almost never see an NFL game with that shitty of a score. Why? Because they have an offense. Even the terrible teams have good offensive skill players. There is no defense that can stop a perfect route and a perfect throw. Or a perfectly timed play call.
Do not get me wrong. The two defenses on the field were top notch and a joy to watch because they were loaded with talent and good coaching. But the offensive skill players and offensive coaching in that game was the worst you can imagine.
But quit trying to say that shite pile of a game lived up to its hype. Because it did not.
Sorry for the interruption. Lsu fans can go back to dickriding bammer.

lol typical little brother move...come in and try to discount big brother...look auburn gets lucky every now and then and has a good team...never had one that was near as good as the two teams on the field for that game but every once in a while you buy a player that pans out

9-6 was one of the best games I've ever watched. Tremendous defensive battle

Wing did have a great game that day. He was pretty bad on 1/9, though. LSU's offense wore his leg out that night.

Well, I believe there is one QB, 5 RBs (including the #3 pick in the 2012 draft along with last year's NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year) and 5 WRs (including a 1st rounder) that played in that game now in the pros. So there was no shortage of extremely talented skill players.
It was just great D that night on both sides. Bama thought they were approaching a TD on a trick play/pass from Maze, but Eric Reid (another 1st round safety) made an unbelievable interception and wrestled the ball away from the WR at the last second.
Great D is hard to beat. See record-breaking Peyton Manning in Super Bowl.

Beat Auburn by a combined score of 87-24. AU had ONE Offensive TD, late in the game vs. LSU's scrubs.

LSU averaged 35.7 points per game that year with probably the hardest schedule CFB has seen in decades. #17 Scoring offense. Bama averaged 34.8 points per game. #20 scoring offense.
The two defenses were beyond top notch. It was two NFL defenses going at it. Both teams would have crushed 2013 auburn or 2010 auburn

Alabama had no real deep threat receiver in 2011 other than Kenny Bell. Our entire 2 deep at that position pretty much consisted of possession receivers.
We had Kenny Bell, Marquis Maze, Darius Hanks, Brandon Gibson, and DeAndrew White. Norwood really didn't break out until Maze pulled his hamstring in the championship game.
