From the article:

It’s as close to an NFL game as you’re ever going to see in terms of a college matchup

If Ryan Perriloux wasn't a dumbass that LSU team is one the best of all time

I was about to post this. Thank God, as a Bama fan, that RP was a Jimmy Johns level idiot. That team would've been a '95 Husker type juggernaut.

Perriloux would not have been eligible, he would have been a senior in 2009.

Maybe Jarrett and JJ would have been different QBs having a year or two to sit behind RP, but I doubt it . In fact it probably would have made us hold onto Crowton for longer.

Best defensive game I've ever seen. Fans of other teams will just never get it. So intense I know I sprouted a few gray hairs.

My a-hole was puckered up tight as can be from the opening kickoff to the game-winner.

Well, somebody tuned in because it was the highest rated non-bowl game on CBS since 1989. Or I guess it's possible everyone tuned in, fell asleep and the ratings were high because there was no channel changing.

I'm sure that people did tune in initially.

Dude we get it. You don't like real football. Now move along and be a moron in another thread.

At least 15 of these players are still on NFL rosters.
Not sure about the other school.

Impressive but consider this...
The 2003 Fiesta Bowl had:
37 of of the 43 starters drafted,
20 of the 22 defensive starts drafted,
30 total defensive players from the 2-deep drafted and
58 of the 100 players played in the NFL
