The 1 match ups and 3 match ups have already been determined so I’m not sure what this post is stating.

They are just deciding 8 or 9 game.

A&M and LSU are matched up if it’s an 8 game schedule.

If 9 game

A&M gets LSU, M State and Texas
LSU gets A&M, Bama and Ole Miss

Who do you want?

FYI, LSU guy on Finebaum just said it was A&M/LSU with 8 game schedule.

Saban is already clamoring about Bama’s biggest rival Vanderbilt…

I doubt any of us thought otherwise. No fan base on the rant is more obsessed with TAMU than the crawfish gumbo folks.

After a decade plus in the SEC, I still don't understand LSU's position regarding rivals. Best I can come up with:

1. Themselves
2. Sobriety
T3. Ole Miss/Miss St
5. Florida
T6. Arkansas/Texas A&M
8. Tulane

UGA would be my pick. Oldest rivalry in the deep south.

A&M is way down the list of LSU’s rivals.

In the conference, it is Ole Miss. Bama, Florida, Auburn and Arkansas would come next for football.

For baseball, Miss State.

Florida/Georgia

Texas/OU
Ole Miss/Miss St.

No Big 6/Non-big 6 matchups. Fair and balanced!

Honestly, this is a pretty good slate.

I'm sorry, you see, your actions just speak so loud I can't hear a word you're saying.

If it goes to 1 permanent I’d like to get USC back since we came into the conference together and played them yearly until we got screwed out of that.

Let aggie and mizzou play each other since they came in together and let the original members pair off.

That’s just my opinion.

can't see it happening, but if it did...

Bama - Vols
UGA - Auburn
OM - State
TX - OU
LSU - UF
Aggie - Hogs
Mizzou - Vandy
SC - Kentucky

i think most LSU and Vol fans would prefer that

You might read back-and-forths from their respective posters on this site a bit too much if you think those football programs are each other's biggest rival

Yep. Giving LSU a permanent of A&M is an unfair advantage for LSU. It also means Tennessee gets either Kentucky or Vanderbilt, doubly unfair.

Big 6 schools should have another Big 6 as the permanent opponent.

TN- Vandy

If that's the way it ends up, can't wait until Smokey twists this into "everyone is scared to play us".

Did you actually go to the bother to check TAMU vs LSU under Jimbo? I didn't think so.

I thought about expressing my thoughts on this one but decided against it. I’m sure any OM fan would know exactly what I think. That’s because truth exists, whether you deny it or not.
