Well Malik is going somewhere where he can start PG. He's made that pretty clear. IJ is a PG only so that sort of puts in a thought situation there.

I think it's pretty clear that they are telling him he can do whatever the frick he wants if he comes here.

I'd be perfectly happy with either lineup. Just depends on if coach wants to go big or small. Now that I've thought about it, Howland being a defensive minded coach would probably want Fred in the lineup.

Well, that rant came out of left field if it was really directed at me. I mean are you a relative of Ray? The man put a bad product on the court, especially offensively, for 3 straight years which had NOTHING to do with race. I don't think that is deniable in any way. And I haven't said one word EVER on here about Stansbury. Go take some meds or something.
And to add I was fully in Ray's corner to start with but this past year he totally lost me.

I think what he was trying to say was lets just leave the past in the past. We have an outstanding coach now so let's just leave all that alone.

Maybe that's what he was trying to say but that's not what he said. I stand fully by what I posted because people (including those that don't understand Malik's interest in us) are really downplaying the current guys on the team. To the extent of saying that even if you add a Top 5 player and some other nice pieces we would still have trouble making post-season play next year under Howland. Like I said, with the team we had this year there was no reason why we shouldn't have been an NIT team with the proper coaching.

Well, obviously.
I was just trying to end what I figured was about to start a two page slapfest. I just don't really care to look at last year anymore and think about what was, or what should have been.
If we get Malik, along with players we already have, I think we will be postseason bound.

Put it this way, if we don't make post-season play next year WITH Malik (likely one and done) and all the veteran players we have coming back plus some other nice pieces coming in, its likely going to be a long, sad year in Year 2 for Howland.
