Man every yr around this time I seem to be reminded about how happy I am Bama landed Mo Smith...he always seems to be there in a pinch on the roster when another player pulls a bone head

yeah he's got a great opportunity now. i wonder how he will develop as a true safety. i think he's pretty physical for a corner but he'll need to step it up a bit. He's listed as 6'0 195. they'll probably try to put some weight on him. Rashad Johnson was around that size and he was tremendous at safety.

if they are both ready to start it might be time to move EJ over to safety. We would still have Cyrus and Sylve to give us 4 solid CBs. Averett and Cook both have two years in the system and then we have the two 5 stars coming with Fitzpatrick and Sheffield.
Counting EJ, one or two of those CBs are gonna have to move over to safety. just gotta figure out which one can be the most effective.
