Meh, I like walking outside and seeing what was made not by the hands of men.

nope, actually Augusta has come a long way in recent years. Focusing downtown riverfront development on both GA and SC sides has done wonders. Getting ready to build the baseball stadium on the river, modeled after AT&T Park (on a much smaller scale of course).
Shops, restaurants and high end residences going in downtown too... they've relocated the projects that once resided near MCG and have built world class medical facilities in its place.
Out at Mount Vintage, the group that manages Chambers Bay (site of US Open 2015) just bought the course and they promise to develop it into PGA tour-worthy golf grounds.
Say what you want, but the CSRA is by far better living than that shite asphalt jungle up there run by a bunch of Democrats who are running it in to the ground. smh

Bad azz! Buckhead' a city of it's own now.

Are you comparing it the the city or the metro area?
Posted on 2/28/15 at 8:47 am to Cobb Dawg
I think if I were to live in ATL again it would be in midtown. Buckhead is overrated and anything outside the perimeter is out of the question. Although I do like that Total Wine off Barrett Pkwy. Maybe I'd live in there. IDK, it's been forever.

not comparing Aug to Atl... that's apples to oranges. but it's not the shite hole he posted it was, that's all. and contrary to popular opinion, there are people who prefer to live in smaller cities to major metropolitan areas.
a person's quality of life is defined by them, not someone else.

Augusta should be one of the best cities in the South with all the charm of Charleston and Savannah without the bad shite. Politics in Augusta are completely divided along race lines and until that changes Augusta is going to always struggle.

....you don't spend a third of your life in your car?
....your jean pockets aren't bedazzled?
...you may have actually been born in Georgia?
...you won't die if theres more than 2 inches of snow?
...you actually see your kids during the week?
Help me out here..
