Georgia v. Ole Miss (-5.5) - 8:00 PM - SEC Network - GAME THREAD

Georgia
17-9 (8-6) overall
6-4 on the road
Ole Miss
19-8 (10-4) overall
9-5 at home
The Rebals are looking to avenge a heartbreaking loss to Georgia in Athens in late January.
After losing to Georgia on Jan. 20, Ole Miss won six straight and has won eight out of nine contests, all in SEC play.
Georgia beat Alabama in Tuscaloosa in an overtime thriller last Saturday. Otherwise, the Bulldogs are 5-4 since beating Ole Miss on Jan. 20.
Predictions? Thoughts? For both squads to stay in the "non-bubble" tournament talk, a win is completely necessary.
If Ole Miss wants to continue to be listed as a seven seed or lower, they must win. If Georgia loses tonight, the Dawgs will likely be placed squarely on the bubble.

That's not true for Ole Miss. We need to win some games down the stretch, but we are still in tourney with a loss.

If we had lost to Bama on Saturday I would say UGA would lose this one, but somehow they found their heart (thanks to Bama losing their's) and I think they turn the trainwreck around and get another big road win tonight.
Looking forward to this game

probably a small crowd today. Pretty much everything is supposed to be frozen over by then.
Good thing is, the boilers can get Tad Smith pretty warm if the teams have to stay their overnight.
Tonight is going to be your worst nightmare, UGA. After you lose the game(knock on wood), then you have to stay the night in that shithole arena.

Looking forward to a good game as well
I haven't watched y'all enough to really know much about your team. What should I expect?
Our team has great guard play and, thus far, seemingly perfectly timed three-point shooting. Our zone defense has, typically, tightened up in the second half. If you can pass well, especially on the perimeter, lanes to drive the ball to the basket will open up and we can be beaten, obviously.
Also, we are one of the best free throw shooting teams in the country and, usually, get to the line a ton.

UGA loves to drive to the hoop and try to draw fouls. We are dependent on a strong inside game and it seems that when we get away from that we tend to unravel. Thornton was a monster in the paint before getting a concussion, he hasn't had the same presence since then. Mann will drive it to the hoop often (very often) and has a tendency to miss even the most open of lay-ups, but it is all part of the game to draw fouls. JJ Frazier is playing hurt and with a facemask, but he can go full throttle at the drop of a hat (see 37 points against Miss State) but has been somewhat limited in our last couple of losses. We can also be quite sloppy with our passing sometimes, as well as very streaky from the field.
They are your stereotypical average-good college hoops team. Sometimes they can be painful to watch, but when it is all clicking they look great.

We are still in with a loss. We have a quality RPI, tough SOS and some good wins. The committee also looks at injuries which have plagued us lately. We should have everyone back by the SECCT, so UGA is safely in going 2-2 with losses to @OM and UK

Weeeelllll I bet y'all will have a nice first half then
Seriously, Kennedy has been great a halftime adjustments, especially on the defensive front.

Great passing teams have given us fits, brah.
Good luck tonight and be sure to post in the in-game thread with all of us

Y'all may not lose tonight. I am expecting a dogfight.

Both teams really need this win; if it is anything other than a dogfight I will be disappointed.

The last game was awesome. Moody is an animal, but fortunately we were able to hold Summers in check. We'll need to do the same today and keep Saiz off the offensive glass to give ourselves a good chance.

We've dominated dawgs since that loss in Athens.
Let's keep it up.

Dude, WAOM so a loss tonight could spark some sort of epic crash.

This team is about as non-WAOM as an Ole Miss team can get with that clutch Moody shooting.
Should be a good game tonight. Hate that it's on the same time as ours.
