Ole Miss should be higher than TAMU. We hold the tiebreaker as of right now based on H2H.

Not sure. aTm fell yesterday about 5 spots and won.

It's certainly not helping them

How is LSU going to be in the top 50 playing Auburn?

A&M going to make the tournament somewhere around a 9 seed. Just keep on being negative about the Ags. You been that way for months, no need to change now.

You need to learn how to distinguish between being negative and stating facts.

I want our league with as many teams in the tourney as possible, but aTm is firmly on the bubble at this point. As the UCLA's, Xavier's, of the world keep winning and playing top teams, it hurts your resume being 0-5 against the top 50.

As seen yesterday dropping 5 spots while winning.

I think the SEC gets 5 in. Kentucky, Arkansas, Ole Miss, and UGA are all pretty safe right now. The last spot goes to either LSU or A&M, and it'll probably which team can make a run in the SEC tournament

Ole Miss is the 3 seed and A&M is the 4 if the season ended today (H2H).

From Jerry Palm....

He has LSU "on the fence"
quote:

LSU has a couple of good wins on the road at West Virginia and Ole Miss, but also some bad losses to Missouri, Mississippi State and Auburn. They completed the season sweep of Florida, but still have a few tough games left.
LINK

He has UGA "on the fence"
quote:

Georgia needed overtime, but won at Alabama to stop a two-game skid of bad losses. They still have to go to Ole Miss and host Kentucky.

He has aTm "with work to do"
quote:

The Aggies extended their win streak to three with a victory at South Carolina. They still do not have a top 50 RPI win, and will either need to win at Arkansas next or hope LSU moves up to fix that before the conference tournament.

Just wait til Hugh McElroy gets here and he'll says that's just a colloquialism.

Winning @ Arkansas will get A&M in - but I think Arkansas wins that one pretty easily.

Going 3-1 in these last 4 will probably not be enough although 2-2 would not be a disaster I think (as long as the losses are @ Arkansas and @ Florida).

So say things hold and A&M gets 4-seed in the SEC Tournament - that game would probably be a must win - if seeds hold they would be playing LSU for the 3rd time and still might not have this magical Top 50 win. (although I suppose if LSU some how rises then A&M could be 3-0).

I agree about the focus on quality wins, but I find it kind of funny experts talking about hopefully a team cracks the top 50 so they count as a quality win for the other team's resume.

So at the end of the year a win over team number 51 or 54 in the RPI is nothing, but boy beating team number 50, separated by hundredths of an RPI point is a big win!

It's about being able to show you have beaten tournament quality teams.

If you haven't beaten any or maybe just 1 tourney quality team, you probably don't deserve to be in that tourney.

Instead of comparing A&M to other SEC teams, why don't we compare them to mid majors they would be fighting with for bids:

34. Dayton (20-6)

SOS - 120
Top 50 wins - Ole Miss, A&M (Puerto Rico)
Bad losses - at Duquesne (233)

They beat A&M without Danuel House or Jalen Jones by 2 points. The committee could make the case that, with Danuel House, A&M wins that game going away.

41. Boise State (20-7)

SOS - 107
Quality wins - San Diego State, Colorado State
Bad losses - Loyola-Chicago, Utah State, at Fresno State

45. Old Dominion (20-6)

SOS - 132
Quality wins - VCU
Bad losses - at WKU, at UAB, at MTSU, at UTSA
