Yall do this with Anderson fwiw. And Pearl will turn Auburn around a lot faster.

they love to make fun of Johnny Jones, but Jones' body of work through three seasons is pretty much equivalent to Anderson's through 3, yet he's brilliant

I don't think Pearl will ever win a title at Auburn so comparisons to Saban are futile, but much like Saban in 2007 this season is a pass for Pearl. They know once he recruits some better players the team will be better and a top 4 or 5 SEC team most seasons he stays. This season means nothing to Auburn fans and it shouldn't. Haters are going to hate and say this season proves Pearl won't be able to turn Auburn around, but the same crazies said that about Saban after the LA Monroe loss.

Can't you think of another fanbase in this conference the past two years that have been more excited about having a coach than actual wins?

Probably because they know he's recruiting like a champ and this year is nothing more than foundation building. They are likely happy to have Pearl because they know they have Sweet 16s in their future.

I sure hope it doesn't take Pearl as long to get AU to point they might make it to the Big Dance, like it has for Anderson. I call Ark "Snapshot U", their fans only see what is happening now, and totally forget what has happened in the past or will happen in the future. That is how Bert gets a raise for going 6-6 and only beating two SEC Teams that were reeling.
