We all know he recruited well, but was he able to develop that talent?

I'd hate to think LSU just hired another good recruiter when what they really need is player development. They've never had trouble getting stars in the past..

He's respected as one of the best defensive line coaches in the country.

If "developed" means "killed everyone's will to perform" then yeah, he was really good at it.

LSU has more NFL players than any other SEC school.

Hard to tell. All the guys he recruited turned out pretty good but it was after he left. Did he just not develop them or did Nutt reap the benefit of both his recruiting and his development? Who knows.

I think a lot of ole miss fans wonder what would have happened if he got one more year.

Had quite a few go pro the two years after he left.

Quite a few Orgeron Recruits still playing on Sundays. You're right that he had no talent on his 2005 and 2006 team. But there was enough talent on that 2007 team to go bowling.

His problem is he beat the frick out of his players during practice every week. We constantly were worn out on gameday from practices.

Nutt did develop them into good players....but that was only possible because of the work ethic Orgeron taught them.

After those guys left...Nutt didn't really do anything different as far as his approach to developing players...they were just lazy as hell and no one was there to yell at them like Orgeron did.

6-6....maybe. Orgeron was just a terrible HC back then.

All that NFL talent must of been maximized in college huh?

Guess that means y'all have won multiple national titles I haven't heard about after developing that talent so well while they were in college

At first I thought you were just LSU-sessed but now I see you are really concerned about our program. All that thinking about LSU's needs makes me appreciate your unhealthy obsession. I bet FTD has an arraignment just for someone like you.

^^ this ^^ The type of athletes he will 'work with' at LSU will revolt at the way he conducts business. I predict that in the dog days of august 2 a day practices, at least one of not several players will will take him up on his offer to pull the shirts off and fight...my money will still be on orgeron to win the fight tho.
