He was 3-21 in the SEC in three years, and 1-2 against Vandy teams with losing records.

I don't know if was development or just a keen eye for talent, but a lot of lower-ranked guys he recruited ended up in the NFL. If we hired a competent head coach instead of Nutt to coach those '08 and '09 teams, we would have been a lot better.

Do you consider les miles competent enough to maximize recruiting stars?

All that NFL talent must of been maximized in college huh?

They got to the NFL without any development. That is the reason guys like Landry, OBJ, Hill, TM7, Turner, Logan, Reid, Blue, etc. take so long to make an impact in the NFL

Yes, their development speaks for itself. We've actually had some absolute home runs with guys who weren't 4 or 5 stars.

Nutt did develop them into good players....but that was only possible because of the work ethic Orgeron taught them.

After those guys left...Nutt didn't really do anything different as far as his approach to developing players...they were just lazy as hell and no one was there to yell at them like Orgeron did.

Oregeron might just need to 'ease back on the throttle' a bit.

You must incline in order to decline.

So I guess the "_____ won with _____'s players" rule doesn't apply in this case, huh?
