After UTk extended Butch Jones.

Mason has a private contract, but I would think it has to be lower than Richt's.

How does this make you feel?

I'm fine with it. Probably going to have to give Bobo a big raise soon

He should be paid more than at least half of the SEC head football coaches. I'm guessing he gets a raise in the offseason.

I kinda like where he is. If he wins another SECC, give him a raise.

I agree. Give him a raise if he wins another big bowl or the conference.

I feel that's fair. He hasn't accomplished enough in the last 10 years to warrant anything more.

With the exception of righting the ship from the state of affairs resulting from the late '80s troubles...and Donnan...and Goff. But people seem to forget that. Numbers don't lie...

Did Mullen or Beliema get raises? Pretty sure Richt is currently above Mullen, Beliema, and Mason

Anyways, I'd say based on other SEC salaries, I think Richt's is a bit low. He should be middle of the pack. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get a raise for '15.

Mullen will probably get an extension soon as well.

Dunno about Bert. I got this info from GetThePicture.

I think Bert makes 3.25 mil. & Richt 3.2 mil....

Scott Stricklin 'optimistic' in extending Dan Mullen's contract

Mason's salary isn't made public since Vandy's a private school...

In college football, money talks. But it only talks if you have done something for me lately, and Richt hasn't won anything significant in 10 years.

But hey, we did have a 3 game win streak against florida though! Who cares if it was their worst stretch in recent memory, but we lost this year so it doesn't matter anyway.

And who cares about his record vs South Carolina in the past several years. We still have an insurmountable lead over them in the overall series still so it's cool that we've lose 4 out of the last 5 against them.

And don't forget Ga Tech. He's only lost twice in 14 years or whatever. It's okay though bc he's never lost to them in Atlanta, just twice in Athens on senior day.

The university and AD aren't worried and they know a little more than us message board posters do, so...

The market is saying that the cost of a competent SEC coach has risen. Richt has proven he is still "competent" with a 9 / 10 win season and will get a raise this offseason. Richt's agent isn't earning his keep if he gets through the offseason without a raise. I'm not saying he deserves it (or that any of these other coaches do for that matter) but those are just the facts. UGA is currently ranked in the top 15 and Richt is being paid like we are unranked and have lost 5 games relative to the rest of the SEC coaches.

Wanna guess what Richt's record vs ranked opponents since 2008 might be?

The problem with that is over half the coaches in the SEC have done as little and less than Richt.

Mullen, Freeze, Sumlin, Spurrier, Pinkel, Stoops and Butch Jones....what have they done? have they won a SEC Championship? have they won a National Championship? Why should they be paid more than Richt?

And if these were not the case you would be screaming even more for his head. Let's not use common sense. Let's just go with a mob mentality and run with the crowd. Everybody else wants him fired? Then so should I!

In 2012, UF was 11-2, finished ranked #9 and was 7-1 in the SEC, and got an at large BCS bid. Other than that, they sucked

They sucked this year but they whipped our asses. I guess we can call it a wash
