Of course, if we'd have recovered it, it would have been brilliant. But, we didn't.............

What was Richt thinking? And what were you thinking?

I liked it. Didn't work, but no one was expecting it. Worth the shot.

^ agreed. I thought we were looking for a cheap possession after our offense went downfield so fast. I was worried after their first drive that our defense was going to be left on the field too long throughout the game.

In reality, they probably saw something on film and had decided before the game that they were going to attempt an onside kick at a certain point, and for whatever reason that time seemed like the time to try it to the coaches. I liked the call even though it didn't work.

I personally thought it was a terrible idea. It wasn't like we needed any momentum, and these things should only be attempted against superior teams. I liked it last year at home against South Carolina, a team that has had our number. I would rather call a fake punt at midfield then try an onside kick.

I liked the call.

Our ST play has been very vanilla over the past few years with few exceptions (fake punt in the SECCG against Bama comes to mind), so I really liked the call. I wasn't even mad when we didn't recover.

called that shite in the game thread. i liked it. Arky had just driven it down out throat and had the ball for 8 minutes. Then we scored in like 2 minutes, so I think Richt just wanted to give the defense a longer break

Stopping them on that series may have been the key moment of the game.

I liked it. Keeps the other team honest. Not that big a difference in yardage.

I wasn't crazy about it. Seemed kind of desperate to me.

If we'd have recovered it though, and went on to score.....that would have been pretty demoralizing for arkansas though.

Took them 8 minutes to score, then we blocked their extra-point, marched down the field with ease in 5 plays for a TD.......and then an onside kick resulting in another TD drive? That would've gutted them.

agree with support...I like it when Richt gets a little zany and believe it allows team to play looser and with more spirit...not to mention shows faith in defense (who in this case justified faith).

I think a few people got banned yesterday. Very oppressive regime on the SECr if you ask me.

Anyway I liked the call by CMR, I like when we roll the dice sometimes.

It was pretty fun actually. Lots of vocal Georgia fans......and I was surprised how many people from other parts are very knowledgable about Georgia football and seem to really be kind of partial to the Dawgs. Too much draft beer fricked my guts all up though.

How'd people get banned?

ETA: rig's pics are gone but his info is still there

Richt doesn't think...I thought it was stupid at the time, but then thought what a really really stupid OC Arky has for those atrocious pass calls the Dawgs shut down.
