My guess is that after Arky had a 7 min drive and UGA went real quick he wanted to keep the defense off the field to avoid them being worn down. At that point it looked like Arky was gonna just keep gashing the defense.
Like I said, I liked the call but it was absolutely a huge risk. Very fortunate that arky went with 2 straight pass plays.

Hated it. Basically says he didn't think Pruitt's D could hang with an unranked team that is winless in SEC play for over 15 games...

No it didn't. It said the D had gotten the ball shoved shoved down their throats for 7 minutes and had a grand total of 10 seconds to rest on the sidelines. He was trying to maintain momentum and give the defense a blow.

It was a good try, but the razors just played it smart.
Defense had just got marched on for 8 mins. if we get the ball they get rest, if arky gets it at least it wont be a another 8 minute march that gets our guys breathing hard.
The plus is, Richt is starting to trust his defenses again.
All around good coaching.

this is the right answer. It's just like every call bobo ever makes...if it works great! if not people wanna lynch him.
This one didn't work, so people want to get pissed. But when we did it in the first quarter against LSU in the 2011 SECCG and it worked he was a savior. Bottom line is people are fickle idiots..

No, people wanna act like it was okay because nothing came of it for Arkansas...
However, I agreed with the call ONLY because I felt like we wanted to give our Defense a bigger break
