Yeah, me either. Not sure which MU team will show up. Not too sure which UGA team shows up either. I am, of course, hoping for an MU win, but that's all I got.

Wow. some fierce trash talking. I think its going to take a few years before we figure this out.

If the UGA fans will please forgive us, you have to understand the team we trash talked the best was KU. they had a deep history of being a talentless joke and thats what we based our trash talking on(fat fired coaches gave us the perfect punchline).

We honestly don't know a lot about your history(nor you ours). Pretty hard to make fun of Hershel Walker and years of consistent play. We did steal Nate Brown from GA, but that doesnt mean much yet. Hopefully soon.

If you wouldn't mind sharing some of the taunts that others throw your way, it might give us a jumping off point.

I was just about to create a thread on this, so here goes...

- The Georgia game is going to be a litmus test on the rest of our season. Florida and Arkansas are similar - teams based on the run with weak or substandard quarterbacking. If we can deny or limit the damage, I like our chances to win this game and the East.

- The South Carolina game represented our best defensive effort to date. Davis got his yards, but the damage was minimal. No long runs off of bad angles that I can recall. We made some critical stops when needed and showed an ability to tackle in the back seven previously not seen.

- With Kony Ealy back, the Mizzou DL assault on opposing quarterbacks continued as prior to Indiana. The young secondary also showed an improvement with some spunk and lumber thrown in for good measure.

- On offense, the reshuffled OLine was a marked improvement. Not great, but competent if nothing else.

- The bye week came at the perfect time. Our RBs and WRs were all nicked up and Mauk suffered for it. That said, this offense is still a work in progress and pale echo of our 2013 version. James Franklin's running ability is sorely missed, but life goes on.

- Underrated by outside observers is our special teams. And aside from Baggett's FG kicking, everything else is clicking on all cylinders. Baggett's kick-offs are rarely returned, our punter is doing a fine job, and Marcus Murphy is a threat to take any kick the distance.

The short and long of it is, if Missouri can contain Gurley & Chubb they've got a great shot at the W.

If we can rattle MM enough to make him force bad throws and keep him out of a rhythm we have a shot. Gurley n co. will get some yards. Again I dont know.

as far as trash talk.. um blah blah blah milktost blah blah yankees?

anyway heres to a good game no injuries (Drake yesterday DAMN) Go Dawgs

You don't even have to rattle Mauk to get him to make poor throws. He does a pretty good job of it himself half the time. If you've got some cherry pickers in the secondary they could have a field day.

I don't know about you guys, but Missouri hasn't really found a play-calling rhythm on offense all year. We should be running more, but aren't. Are in 2nd or 3rd and 10 way too often and are overly reliant on the long bombs to bail us out and produce points. Stopping us may not be a problem.

Watching bits and pieces of Georgia games, it seems like your some hay can be made vs. your LBs in the passing game. Is that accurate? What are the strengths and weaknesses of your defense?

If the good Mizzou shows up, we can play with anyone in the country and will win by 2 scores. If bad Mizzou shows up, we can lose to anyone and will get blown out at home. That's how inconsistent we are. I truly have no feel for this team yet, or how they will respond to tough tests. They can manhandle a solid UCF, then lose to freaking Indiana.

And I really can't trash talk Georgia. I love Athens, and Jeff dawg and Barberitos (same person?) excluded, I like most of their fans. I have family in Athens, and think the state is beautiful. Of course, there are rednecks, but it's tough to out-redneck Missouri.

Oh, the grown men barking like dogs is ridiculous.

In all seriousness, I like our chances of getting pressure on Mason and disrupting any passing game Georgia tries to put together. If we can do that, and limit Gurley's damage, we have a decent chance. But Gurley is a beast, perfectly built to destroy our LBs.

Line strength
Secondary weakness.

Common misconception is that Mason sucks.

He's tied with Bo Wallace at #2 in the SEC for efficiency (Blake Sims #1).

He doesn't have the NFL arm and his long game isn't great, but his short and medium game is good enough. He has plenty of completions in the 20-30 yard range. His lack of 35 yard + completions hurt his yards-per-attempt number (only 6.8) but he has consistently completed the 3rd and longs that he has needed to, and that's really what's important in my opinion.

Mason isn't great, but the fact remains that Mizzou can't leave receivers open. Mason doesn't suck so bad that you can just play run defense on every play and not expect him to burn you.

And while he isn't as mobile as Mauk or Dak, he has still ran for several first downs when he sees a lane.

Hunt will be back and maybe White. If not White, Leftwich seems to be improving.

Those two being out really hurt us. I think anyway. No way Mauk will play as poorly as he played in the other Columbia again. Hope not anyway. Should be able to take advantage of that.

On D we can flat out get after the QB, but that is somewhat mitigated by you guys being run first. Run D hasn't been great, but our LBs seemed to really take a step forward last game.

Again, who knows. I'll be there hoping like hell for a Tigers victory.

I don't think Mason sucks. The contrary, actually. He's not Murray, but he's a good QB. I just think our pass rush is the strength of our D, and if we can pressure your OL and Mason, it forces you to rely more heavily on your run game-which is your strength, unfortunately. I hope that the center of our line can bottle up Gurley a little, but that's a tall order. It'll fall to our LBs and safeties. That scares me.

That matchup will really be against our guards and center.

Our guards are first-year starters and were predicted to be a weakness of our team preseason, but surprisingly have shined. Kublanow, left guard, has jumped early a few times, but other than that has been great. They've had no trouble opening holes or pulling out on the toss sweep. They've been great.

Semo, would you please make a topic on the UGA board along the lines of "We gonna whoop your arse lil doggies!" just to rile them up?

Board has been boring lately. Need some excitement.

I don't think this should be much of a game for UGA.

You guys are the cream of the crop to the east. Still can't figure
