I don't agree with Bill Maher on much but he is right on target regarding Islam.

I didn't watch the video because I can't stand Maher's smug attitude. But yes, Islam is not like other religions. It lends itself to violence, oppression, and antagonism more than other religions. Any study on the matter will show this. Obviously not all ideologies are equal. Some are more in-tune with our Western ideals of democracy and freedom. Others are a total antithesis to our beliefs. Political correctness and multiculturalism have trumped all logic.

That's for making me agree with Maher on something.

Christians believe in about the same things as Muslims, except for the Jesus being the last prophet part. In the Bible, it tells women that they should cover their heads or go shaven, not speak in church, be obedient to the man. The bible also tells us when we should kill our sons and daughters, who should be stoned to death, same for our slaves and wives. It also properly tells you how to mark your slave and how you can beat your slave to an inch of death. The bible also says to kill the men of their defeated enemies, while the good guys can loot and plunder and have the whole lot of virgin women to themselves. All of these are in the Bible.

If anything, Islam has the balls to follow through.

But hey, I saw frick'em both!!!!

I am a religous advocate of Mr. Boeings Bomber number 52 making repeated carpet bombing raids on ISIS related locations.

Modern Christianity and modern Islam are not analogous. No direct parallel should be made, it's an apples-to-oranges comparison. They are entirely different in basic structure, history, language, interpretation, and theology.

Im not the biggest bible reader. How much of that stuff is in the NEW testament? Old Testament is full of this kind of thing.

You seem very knowledgeable about Christianity. Do you have a blog I can subscribe to?

I agree that Islam has some serious issues and valid criticisms.

I'm just ten times more worried about the US government executing people without a trial in places the US has no right to murder people.

The Bible is not meant to be taken literally. Look up St. Augustine, 600 AD. The church officially does not take the Bible literally. There's no widespread modern theology that takes the Bible literally.

Islam is as retrograde as it gets. Pure insanity, plain and simple. But they're also stupid. They started this war and their psychotic crusade has now been exposed to the world. Their objectives will never get accomplished.

Christianity and Judaism have both been reformed to fit the modern times. Islam is still stuck in the middle ages. And I don't know how you convince a billion people to change their minds.

Not sure what you're hinting at, but casualties of war are not murder victims, foreign battlefields are not crime scenes, and non-American enemies of this country are not protected by our criminal justice system.

And quite frankly, I question whether the American who leaves here to fight for ISIS should retain his citizenship.

It really needs to be its own thread.

The USA executes "terrorists" in places the USA is not at war; without trial. Its hilarious the land of the free is the one doing these extra-judicial killings and I'm butt-hurt about it.
