That's a first. I will have to check with the wife on my permissions with respect to Tanya Tucker type poon. I suspect it is limited.

I would say that Christianity is more correct than other religions. If it's not, it's not worth choosing. But, it is not "enforceable" at the point of a gun. So there's no need to try to spread it through violence.

How is Christianity more correct than others? Christianity stole a bunch of their "material" from other previous religions. The bible also leaves out several other books, I would assume there is more that are undiscovered or destroyed.

Christianity's God creates you imperfect, and if you don't "believe" in him, or that he had a son, then you go to hell, forever! Also if you never even get a chance to hear about Jesus or God, (through isolation, like tribes living in the Amazon) you still get to go to hell forever. Oh yeah, God is suppose to love you unconditionally, but is vain enough to punish you for eternity for not believing that he had a son..........Yeah all this seems pretty accurate.

Then throw in stuff of the bible, like Noah putting a male and female of EVERY animal on a boat, with just his family. Maybe that would explain why people are so stupid, since there was massive inbreeding to repopulate the earth.

There is so much more but thats worth another topic.

How does a book "leave out" books that were never part of it? And comparing the Noahic flood account with the Gilgamesh epic shows distinctive authorship and themes to say nothing of structure. So if two dudes write a book about the JFK assassination, who borrowed? Your Comparative Religions professor played a shell game with you. There's more there. Advance beyond the superficial.

I was speaking to a large portion of the active posters in this and the numerous other threads in the same line. You blame Islam for shite individuals do, it is a tool, just like all religions. Don't blame the tool when it gets misused. There are lots of leaders speaking out against what is going on and showing how it is not actually following the doctrine. Everything is open to interpretation (and when not in the literal sense, it is still impossible to write something that every single person will view and understand in the same manner).

Tl;dr y'all are Peyton Strawmanning the religion.

I really just wanted to say Peyton Strawmanning.

But it's true that blaming it not only placing false blame, but it is counterproductive to what most people seem to want, which is everyone to calm the frick down.

I didn't read this whole tread but it usually divulges into the same religion on religion dumb arguments and the usual suspects are involved so it was a reasonable estimate

This proves nothing. The bible was put together by the clergy, and they choose to leave it out. And if you don't believe that, but believe the bible is God's word, then there is some fricked up shite in the bible that God wants us to do.

Also, there are other books that were left out, that is apart of christianity. Do more research before you believe a fake religion. The bible is nothing more than a collection of old wives tales and legends past down. And what about all the aliens that are out there, they haven't heard of Jesus, so they all fooked and goin to hell too, right?

There is no reason to think an alien couldn't have heard of jesus

I don't think Islam is at fault. But it is more easily co-opted by violence because of any number of factors. It is unique in that among religions. I don't think that's groundbreaking.

Your argument has a flaw. If a book was never "part of" the Bible, it can't be "left out."

I'm quite confident I've done more research of the Bible in a year than you've amassed in however many years you've been alive.

What books were "left out?"

Ok, I will take this further. Not all tools are equal. We acknowledge that a hammer carries a specific risk, and a chainsaw a greater risk. More discretion should necessarily be applied to the chainsaw. Islam is a chainsaw.

You know what gives me jollies? Revealing to southern evangelicals facts of history that absolutely set them off, like that the Statue of Liberty is a pagan Roman Goddess or that Jesus would have referred to God as Allah.

The melts are amusing.

I'm a southern evangelical and those don't bother me in the least.

T-Bird, in the other thread, I mentioned EAS. I always thought that meant End of Active Service but that may be specific to the Navy and Marines, which through family I am most familiar with.
