T-Bird, in the other thread, I mentioned EAS. I always thought that meant End of Active Service but that may be specific to the Navy and Marines, which through family I am most familiar with.

Ah ok gotcha. I thought that might have been it but didn't want to presume

We call it a DOS (Date Of Separation) in the USAF not sure what the army calls it, but knowing the air force we probably stole the term from them

Regardless of the terminology, you'd be welcome to party with me anytime (and the wifey too).

He called God "Abba"(which means daddy in Hebrew) not "Allah" (which means curse in Hebrew). Your "facts" suck.

He's a little clever by half. "Elaha" is the Aramaic (that combined with some odd transliteration gives us Jesus' utterance on the cross as "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabacthani?"). The Syriac would be "Alaha." But it's not worth getting worked up either way.

You are so confused. How are going to going to label the Bible a sham when you understanding nothing about it. Most of what you have ranted about was under the Old Testament. Read the part where Jesus said he gave us a New Testament.
quote:

Christians can't pick and choose what to believe in the bible.
Yes, yes we can. We can pick to choose what we are commanded to do in our "new testament." Jesus prayed for the people who were killing him. we are to do the same. Does that sound like Islam to you? Jesus said love your enemies and do good to them. Sound like Islam?

The similarities you refer to exist for a reason. Islam came from Arabs. Arabs are descendents of Abraham. Jews and Christians are descendents of Abraham. Therefore, it stands to reason that some beliefs and traditions would have some similarities.

While Hebrew was the sacred language of the Jewish people, by the mid-first century it was used primarily only in religious ceremonies and other related settings among Jews in that region.
