How would you describe the TN fan base?

I know they have settled down a little bit recently, but we all remember how they used to act. How would you describe their once proud fan base? They used to be a strange bunch for sure. I know I will get bombarded because Bama fans can be crazy as shite. Was watching the old TN games on SECN the other night, and wanted to get everyone's opinion.

Fulmer started it, we kept him 3-4 years too long, Kiffin didn't help, and Dooley went HAM to finish the job.

I wasn't aware there were any left. They're the Minnesota of the SEC. Really strong history, but hit a rough patch, never to again recover.
