Recruiting Class Hypothetical

Hypothetically, you have a 25 member recruiting class. Who you rather have:
4 - 5 stars
8 - 4 stars
13 - 3 stars
OR
0 - 5 stars
18 - 4 stars
7 - 3 stars
Just curious to see if see y'all think a class with star power or a well rounded class produces the best results. My thought is the second option.

Both are solid. I would take the four 5 stars though. 4 classes of that and you would have a team loaded with elite talent.

I would take the 18 4*s. It has 6 more quality players than the other list and thats good for depth.

It just depends on if this is replicated four years or just a one special year. If it's the former then take the one with all the five stars. 4 years of that and that team is special. 4 years of 18+ four stars will lead to a ton of attrition an unhappy kids. But if it's the latter then I think in the long run a class with 18 four stars is better

Both are great but option A might be better if you get 5 star players for the position you need most every year.

I would take one season of the first scenario, and one season of the second scenario. College football is about mismatches and difference makers. There is a lot less parity than the NFL. You need guys that draw double and triple teams.

Depends on positions + where are those four stars ranked. Disregarding the second part, I would take the 4 5*'s if the positions are QB, LT, LB, and CB.

The answer is 5 stars, their hit rate is significantly higher. 4star to 3star isn't much of a drop in terms of future nfl prospects (collegiate success) . Many 3 stars would be 4 stars on better teams or more populated areas.
I understand why some ppl would pick the 4* heavy class, but the numbers just don't support it. For championships or draft picks.

4 5* class.
The difference in a mid-low (outside top 100 player) 4* player and a 3* is marginal and these guys all rely on great development.

Depends on how high are the three stars more than half are 5.7 rivals ranking then you gotta take the 5 stars.
