With travel alone I take a lot of nights to go see movies and have really kept up.

I don't feel like there's been a huge blockbuster yet but a lot of pretty great movies.

CA2, XM:DOFP, Godzilla, Edge of Tomorrow, and HTTYD2 were all really above average at the least if not pretty darn good. Haven't seen 22 jump street.

Interestingly, Pixar isn't releasing a movie this year for the first time since Toy Story.

Not really excited about too much coming up, maybe just a Guardians of the Galaxy.

Enjoyed Captain America and Maleficent immensely.

Haven't gone to as many movies as usual lately tho.

Have you seen Pixar's latest movies?

Monster's University wasn't bad, it was average.

Brave was horrendous.

Cars 2? Trash. Obvious attempt to sell more toys.

It's good that they're taking a break.

I would contend that the last 3 Disney Christmas movies were much better than their Pixar Counterparts.

I liked Brave OK but WiR was exponentially better that year.

MAJOR SPOILERS BELOW!

Godzilla: C

Was a decent movie, but with Cranston dying in the first half hour, I got bored. Godzilla is a beast though. The way he kills the last monster.

Neighbors: B-

All the funny stuff was in the commercials.

X-Men DOFP: A+++++

Movie of the year. I absolutely loved it. I cried. Magneto was a beast. Quicksilver needs a movie for himself. He was the best character out of them all.

CA2: A:

Great movie. Can't wait for CA3. I have a great theory for how it will go if anyone wants to hear.

Looking foward to Interstellar and Guardians of the Galaxy.

I've seen Captain America 2, Godzilla and Malificent.

All were awesome.

Malificent really surprised me, though. It was outstanding and I expected NOTHING from it.

I feel like it's been a better summer of movies than past years.

Brave was incredibly meh.

Especially by Pixar standards. It was obvious attempt to reinvent the whole Disney princess narrative, unfortunately for them, Tangled had already done it more successfully and Frozen proved capitalize even more on that previous attempt.

Seems like Disney Animation Studios is becoming more like Pixar and Pixar is becoming more like Disney Animation Studios with Pixar breaking its no sequel rule(Toy Story being a well-deserved exception) and Disney Animation Studios coming up with somewhat original and interesting material.

22 Jump Street is legitimately one of the funniest movies Ive ever seen. Its Animal House/original Hangover/Caddyshack level funny (in a different way of course).

Maleficent was good, not what I was expecting though.

Captain America was probably the best Marvel movie to date IMO.

Neighbors was solid, but Im glad I saw it before Jump Street. It pales in comparison, and much of the funny stuff is in the previews. That little queer coke addict Zac Efron is turning into a solid actor.
