So, we have a "multi-purpose" room that covers 20 yards and an outdoor turf field that covers 80.
God dammit.

So they put 20 inside & 80 outside...

And for the better part of a decade UGA has been one of the more marketable teams in the nation. Considering how much the team brings in you would think they could do a little bit better.

In all seriousness, the new turf field upgrades have been wildly popular. They are the newest turf which uses cork instead of crushed tire so they're not a million degrees during the summer.

Space and/or funding are apparently limitations. Face it, athletics is simply not the highest priority for our admins.

In the ultra competitive arms race in the SEC. This will continue to hurt us in recruiting. Unfortunately, the big shiny flashy shite is a big attraction.

With the amount of money we pull in every year, you'd think we could a full-length practice field.
With that said, does anyone know if not having a full-length field has negatively affected our ability to prepare?

Tylerdurden24, I'm doing a study to test my theory that reading the SECrant all day and night does to a brain what eating fast food all day and night would do to your body........
On a scale of 1 - 10, how would you rate your level of self-consciousness when you typed "haz a sad"?
(with 1 being = no self-consciousness whatsoever, and 10 being = you are 100% conscious of how retarded and gay that it sounds) Thanks.

Lol at you guys. Maybe the lack of a Full indoor practice facility can hurt recruiting. But, 20 yards off one of our turf fields is not gonna be the deciding factor in Joe Blow's recruitment.
Get real.
Get real.

There's a full length turf field right next to this one. There's also an 80 yard natural grass practice field and two 40 yard natural grass field segments.
This picture is much ado about nothing. The lack of an IPF is a real issue, though.

It was more of Radi making a joke than anything.

It hasn't kept florida from winning 3 national titles in a 12 year span recently.
The only reason people clamor for one so much is because
1)most other people have them and
2)the one or 2 days a year where it screws our practice schedule up
If I could push a button and us have one in place of where the track is now would I? Of course, I'd like to have one. But the whole "we suck and it's hurting us because we don't have one" is overblown.

It's a little easier for Florida to get away with. It's easier for them to sell the idea that they don't need one because they're located in Florida.
Like it or not, UGA is in the middle of an arms race. It's not about what you can get away with not having. It's about keeping up with joneses. The facilities at AU, UA, UT, FSU, LSU, etc. stand out way more than UGA's do, and that definitely hurts.

A full-sized IDP would still be nice, but I don't "has a sad" about our current setup. Sounds like it is more than functional for getting the job done. It's more about how it looks to recruits.

Tylerdudren24, PrettyBoyFloyd, davesdawgs, & Foomanchoo,
Continuing with the study.....
On a scale of 1 - 10, how self-conscious do you feel about your knee-jerk reactions in light of dallasga6's revelation? (with 1 being = not self-conscious at all whatsoever, and 10 being = you feel like a chronically negative message board complainer anxious for any chance to whine) THanks for your participation?

I really think a well thought out fund drive could cover over 50% of the cost. frick... I'd throw them a $500 bone just to put my money where my mouth is & push/shame all the donors I tailgate with to do the same...
