From the FBI

Will this shut up the Chicken Little crowd? I'm guessing no.

Yeah, probably. Poison has the advantage of being hard to prove over the others, though. Still seems low.

So is your point firearms kill more than everything else by a 2 to 1 margin?

That's because people keep getting killed. Less shooters left.

You can't argue with me either. I'm part of your source. Game. Set. Match.

In 2011, there were 433 murders in Chicago. 362 of them were with firearms. FBI stats show
8583 total firearm murders in 2011. One city had 4.2% of all U.S. firearm murders. They are also one of the most stringent on gun control.

In 2011, 515 people were classified as homicide victims in New York City. 314 were murdered by firearms. 3.6% of all firearm murders in the U.S. happened in NY City, another gun control bastion of Utopia.

In 2011, California, another gun control stalwart, had 1220 firearm related murders. Accounting for 14.2% of all murders in the U.S.

The 2 cities and single state, with the most restrictive gun regulations accounted for 22% of all murders in the U.S. That leaves the remaining 47 states, and rest of the state in NY and Illinois, with an average murder rate of 1.6% of the total murders in the U.S..

That's such a crock of shite.

When you take people's guns away they can't shoot anyone anymore. That's why it would be a better country if we banned guns completely.

I had a whole post typed out, then I realized this was a joke, deleted the original post, and posted this instead.

Oh, I can argue with anybody. But what does that mean? Are you a murder victim, a murderer, or a G-Man? If the latter,

According to the internet the last two are synonymous.

You'd prefer knives and baseball bats to ward off the home invaders who inconveniently ignored your gun ban?

ETA: I didn't expect this to take off like this. We have a lot more weirdos here than I thought.

Funny how rifles accounted for a very small percentage of murders, yet the left keeps telling us that if we don't ban "assault" rifles that we're all going to die. Also, if DeMarcus and Jaquarius kill each other over who gets to sell drugs from which corner in Chicago, I give -3 fricks. I'm a law-abiding gun owner. That shite's got nothing to do with me.

That's telling. And the gun shops/states seem to have this down now such that it isn't as big of a PITA as people feared it would be. I purchased a handgun this year, first time in the system. It took less time to call in and get approval than it did for the guy to show me how to take it apart.

Banning assault weapons is pointless. Handguns kill 5x the people assault weapons do.

When is the last time an "assault" weapon killed anyone in the US? Weapons resembling them have killed people, but I don't recall a true full auto weapon being used recently.
