How hard are you guys recruiting him?

Just curious because I figured the last thing UGA needs is a JUCO RB with the depth they have.

Apparently, Butch is after Kamara pretty hard.

If I were him I'd want no part of the depth chart battle at UGA.

Should have clarified. I'd imagine the staff would use him like they did Neal

He's different than what we have now at the position.
But you have to figure that Gurley goes pro.
We could lose another upper-classman to transfer.
And that creates an instant need for Kamara despite the other talent (Marshall and incoming freshmen Sony and Chubb) we should be returning.

in my opinion he should look else here unless he wants to be a slot receiver. I think Nick Chubb will be hard to take off the field after Gurley leaves.

Everyone is sleeping on another 5*, Sony Michel. He may be one of the best backs to come out of South Florida in a decade.

Is it strictly apathy or did anyone actually not pay attention to the decimation that occurred in UGA's backfield last year? Granted Gurley came back later in the year, but his backups were a 2* private school freshman and a converted CB. Not exactly an ideal depth situation to make a run at a conference title. The only way someone could actually believe that UGA has enough quality depth at RB is to be a fan of a team that wants the same recruit. It just so happens that this seems to be that exact scenario.

Could easily also play slot

Or be a combo skill RB like Charles Sims was for WVU last year

UT just signed 2 very talented running backs themselves and Gurley is gone after this season. That leaves 2 unproven backs and one that just went thru major surgery as our 3 on board. Nick Chubb and Sony Michel could both be great but you never know. When Kamara came out he was ranked like 30th in the nation which would lead me to believe that he is no slouch himself.

I think people are somewhat incorrectly assuming that (1) the reason he left UA was the depth chart and (2) that he couldn't fill a role for UGA, even with the presence of other talented backs.

I know what happened last year with UGA's RBs. I'm saying your depth is gonna be pretty stout next year with Marshall, Chubb and Sony. Didn't mean anything by that.

Depth chart from both teams stand points don't look crazy enticing if I'm Kamara. But, if you know you have the goods, then show out.

Yeah, true.

It's just strange because didn't Kamara leave because he got buried on the depth chart at Bama after his knee injury?

From what I've read, that was a reason but not the main one.
