Agree. It sounds like he is ours to lose, but I honestly don't want him. I thought he was the 3rd or 4th best back coming into Bama in that class, has displayed HORRIBLE decision making ability which isn't going to serve him well with ACCPD, hated his RB coach when he met him and when he inevitably got buried on that depth chart, he acted like a bitch (I'm glad because it is what lost Bama Lorenzo, but still) and was becoming an issue for the coaching staff by most accounts. That isn't something I'm itching to add to our locker room.

I appreciate the assist, but I'm just fine if he doesn't come to UGA and get buried on our chart too. Solid chance he'll start acting the same way and like we lied to him too. I'm not surprised he feels lied to, but I'll bet the Bama coaching staff doesn't feel like they lied to him. They probably feel like he heard "You're going to be the starter", when what they said was "You're going to be given every opportunity to gain the starting job". He is afflicted with that same issue that JHC and Shaq Wiggins just left UGA because of...entitlement.

I'd rather have a multitude of HS backs than him. Especially with our superior RB chart as it sits.

JHC left UGA because he likes smoking weed

Indeed, because he was entitled and felt like he didn't have to stop or listen to the coaches/school regarding the drug policy. IMO.

I don't necessarily think that he was entitled. Stupid maybe, but not really entitled. "Entitled" gets thrown around too much. It's sort of the buzz word generalization for an entire generation that usually isn't true.

Also, the school's drug policy is asinine, but that's another matter entirely.

Crow, do you mind me asking how old you are? Not saying I disagree with this comment, but I can definitely see how the older generations would disagree.

I'm 23, so I'm probably biased. There are people my age that have entitlement issues, but there are a lot more people that don't. It's the same as any generation IMO. Studies I've read have actually shown higher levels of selfishness and greed in my generation, which I guess could come off as entitlement but isn't really that.

If I had to guess, I would say that most generations have seemed entitled to the generations older than them.

This I would definitely agree with. I'm 34 by the way. I've seen entitlement issues with people older and younger than I am. Typically it seems to be more of a family or cultural issue than a generational issue.

Anyway, didn't mean to hijack the thread.

IMHO, Kamara deserves a chance at UGA if he wants it, and I think we could benefit from his skills.

Agreed

I'm all for taking Kamara as long as he knows our depth situation and what's expected of him. If he acts out, UGA can cut him loose. It seems pretty low risk to me, especially since there aren't a bunch of top tier RBs beating down UGA's door to play behind Marshall, Michel, and Chubb next season.

I no longer think he ends up at UGA. That girls basketball player he's friends with transferred to UT, and he was pretty good friends with Matthews and Wiggins

I can deal with that.

Hurd/Kamara/Scott has major potential to be a 3 headed monster imo.

I hope so. I want a RB this year, but I do not want Kamara.

I want a RB in this class, but don't want Kamara. Don't want him to go to UT, though, or any other team we play every year. If you land him it will be a good pickup. I wouldn't mind it if we got him, I just think we would be better served taking somebody out of high school. Kamara would come in as RS So. I think. That would leave us with:

Sr: Marshall
Jr: Douglas
So: Turman (RS), Kamara (RS), Chubb and Michel

Turman probably transfers, but still, I would prefer the high school back if we can find somebody with a skill set similar to Kamara - problem being, I don't that he's out there and a realistic option for us.

I can definitely see your point there. With Marlin Lane graduating after 2014, we will have zero upperclassmen at RB that will ever see any PT so it would be a good situation for Kamara imo.

2015

Hurd So.
Kamara RS So.
Scott So.
Paulk RS Fr.
Reid Fr.
