Spectacle...are you embarrassed by this or proud that he represents your University?

Why should they be embarrassed--even if they disagree with the events surrounding him/his draft?
He's one person.

Thank God we have you to find out this important information.

Here's a news flash: universities have gay people in them. I'm not embarrassed that there's gay people in the English department at Mizzou and I'm not embarrassed that there's gay people on our football team. I'm not excited there's gay people in the English department and I'm not excited there's gay people on our football team. It just is.

They are embarrassed and they are Yankees.

Circus and freak show is officially over. Move on.

I was just surprised his SO was a white dude. Aside from sports folks at Mizzou do they have any kind of substantial black population?

I see white people

More white people

Nothing but white people!

If Sam was going to come out would have been cooler if it was another brother or maybe and Asian or Indian.

Sam did nothing wrong. I thought espn embarrassed themselves and were overboard on the coverage.

ESPN may have been driving the circus train but NFL home office probably was driving much of this behind the scenes. Anybody want to lay odds that his jersey will be in the Top 10 before the year is out? Most can just sell to a specific fan market but he can sell across the board.

I don't know why he let them in his house on the one hand, but if it makes people confront their prejudices it's probably a good thing.

I'm tired of all this gay stuff. Every time a gay person does it's all over the media. Let the guy earn his rep on the field of play. I don't care about anyone's sexuality.

The gay community will make his jersey number 1

But hopefully Rams don't buy it because he's gonna have a hard time cracking that roster... They're stacked at d line

You don't really have a choice in this society to "like it" or "not like it". The new culture in America is pro LGBT and if you aren't a part of it you will be considered a piece of shite.

I think everyone is entitled to their own right on their beliefs. These days I think most people are just conforming so they aren't in the minority and get flak.

Me, personally, I don't give a shite what he does and with who. Does having gay people at your work make you want to change jobs or not enjoy your company?

News flash, there's probably 100 gay football players in college right this instant.

I really doubt the NFL is banking on it's gay demographic to dominate. To call it an "emerging market" would be an overstatement.

What people don't seem to grasp is that there's a third option.

Not being anti-LBGT.
