Mizzou has more African-American than both Tennessee and Kentucky. In fact they are right in the middle in SEC rank.

I am not embarrassed by Sam nor do I think he solely represents Mizzou. I would not choose his sexual preference, but I don't think anyone chooses Down's syndrome either.

You don't really have a choice in this society to "like it" or "not like it". The new culture in America is pro LGBT and if you aren't a part of it you will be considered a piece of shite.

You contradicted yourself.
And yes, we do have a choice to like or not like something. That's a right no one can take away.

I don't mind him being gay but kissing his boyfriend with cake on National TV weirded me out. I don't approve of that at all.

This is correct and due to the fact that the majority of Tennessee's black population came to Tennessee during and after the Civil War. Memphis was where many of Mississippi's runaways and those fleeing during the war fled to. East, Tennessee, in contrast served as a 'maroon zone' in which free people of color, those running from slavery, and many others ran to and escaped slavery for several generations long before the Civil War started - this group came from NC, VA, SC. It was also abolitionist hotspot (before abolitionists were even heard of in the North).

No offense Bogie, but stuff like this is irritating. Like they have no choice in the matter, sorry, don't buy it. The new culture tries to brush this off as "it's who they are", but in reality, "it's what they do" that makes them homosexuals. It's a specific act, it's a lifestyle. They chose it somewhere along the way in their life.

I know I'm not PC on this subject and before I get tagged a homophobe, know I have a half brother that's gay, and we never have had a problem. I've also had friends that were gay, and this was before the time gay was cool.

That may be, but the images you see are all full of white folks. It is like where is waldo in that previous pic.

See, I think that's where a lot of people et hung up. You think it's a choice. If you ask your gay half brother, youight get a different answer.

I guess that being sexual, or having sex at all is a choice, of you want to be picky about it. But I don't think you choose who you find attractive.

And it's perfectly fine that we disagree on that point.

Best of luck to Michael, hope he does well.

What minimal scientific data there is on this says otherwise. There is literally nothing tangible to show that it is any sort of conscious decision to desire sex with someone of your own sex over the opposite sex.

I get that you're going to believe what you want to believe in spite of any and all reasoning to the contrary, but just know that you stand alone without any sort of factual support for your claims.

Cute response, pat yourself on the back for that. I'm from the baby boomer generation, so I'm not young nor ancient, but have had plenty of gay friends. You want to call them token, so be it, but I was tolerant towards that lifestyle before it became popular to do so.

Look, Im older and my opinions have changed over the years, especially when my sister came out to us a lesbian. Its was difficult at times because societal norms are heavily ingrained so I understand certain reactions folks have.

The one thing I think is missing is the seeming focus on the sex act itself. Not to sound cheesy or cliche but its about love, not sex. I was the same way until someone I cared about came out and I witnessed the transformation of my moody and broody sister into a happy, successful and content woman who is in a great, long lasting, relationship.

Life is far too short to not be who you are and find that happiness.

I think the problem is that some peoples' happiness is actually contingent upon the life decisions of others.
