Dude better be the real deal. Watched some more of the Bama spring game and holy hell the Qb situation is abysmal. Hard to believe it is so bad the way Bama has recruited.

IMO, it will be either Blake Sims or Cooper Bateman. Jacob Coker will have to adjust quickly, and I've never seen him do anything special...anything that Blake Sims or Cooper Bateman can't do.

We get it. Our QBs suck. I laughed when i saw that performance yesterday by Sims. Then I cried a little bit when I realized he's not a true freshman, b/c that's what he played like.

Bateman didn't look terrible...but yeah, not where it needs to be at all...It will come down to Bateman and Coker....maybe with some special packages for Sims. Bama will win next year like they have in the past,,,,defense, run game, with a game manager QB. Still have outstanding skill players like Coop and OJ.....

It's pretty obvious to me now....Sims in live action is AWFUL. He'll never get it....he isn't a QB.

There's pretty much no way it isn't Coker barring some crazy injury or circumstance. He was leaving FSU to start somewhere. Theres no way he would come to Bama to be a backup when he could go start somewhere.
Saban would never just outright give him the job before he even got here but you know he had to have said something to imply that it's certainly all but his if he works his arse off

I understand where you're coming from but he has tools the other guys don't. Those tools will win him the starting job. Yes he will struggle with the plays at first but he's a smart kid and will get it figured out. Coker for president and stuff....

I highly doubt both Nick Saban and Kirby Smart would personally travel to Coker's house for an in-home visit with him if they didn't think he could start right away.
Phil Savage, a former NFL GM and current color man for Alabama football broadcasts, was on the radio yesterday and said he's heard from many reliable people that Coker is indeed the real deal and personally guaranteed he'd be the starter going into West Virginia.
