Well, Arky has white power billboards, so this isn't that bad when you think about it.

the only explanation for this is that the daily went around to these places, asked for money, and in return they got the best [category]

I mean, there is everything on there short of best Filipino tilt-a-whirl operator

Give 'em a break. Starksville and Oxford just recently crossed off "Best Hot Beer Store" from their "best of" lists.

depends on your definition of "small". Counting MSU students, I'd be willing to bet the Starkville area has about the same amount of people as Tupelo.

And I can tell you for certain that you won't find any fast food places on a "best" list unless it actually is for "best fast food".

Same with Oxpatch.

I live in south Louisiana. Plenty of the small towns here have restaurants that would blow you away yet people there vote Chili's and Ruby Tuesday's for best of categories.

It's like this mostly everywhere except for big cities.

Is not restricted to the South either, seen it in other towns too. Never understood that shite. People just have amazingly low standards I guess.

that does nothing to discredit this list.

It actually backs my flame....erp....point about Starkville people.

Neither Tupelo nor Oxford has voted a fast food chain as their best burger....
