Wanted to get outside opinions to settle a discussion...

Just a caveat - I do believe they're closer than most think.

Right now Alabama. Ole Miss will be the better job once their arena is finished.

Alabama for three reasons

Money invested into Athletics
Bigger city and population base in state
Household name of school

Sweet Sixteen appearances
Alabama - 8
Ole Miss - 1

Tournament appearances
Alabama - 20
Ole Miss - 7

About all you need to know, actually.

Exactly. A new arena isn't going to bridge that gap overnight either.

/thread.

It would be maybe a brief discussion when Ole Miss builds its new arena combined with Mississippi talent.

Hmmmm..let's see:

Team A:

1,555 all time wins (tied with Arkansas for 33rd all time)
29th in all time winning %
20 NCAA tournament appearances
8 Sweet 16 appearances
1 Elite 8 appearance
7 SEC regular season titles
6 SEC tourney titles

Team B:

7 NCAA tournament appearances
1 Sweet 16
0 SEC regular season titles

Just in case this is a serious question I'm going to go with Team A.
