Except that history tends to repeat itself. I remember a lot of people acting like Alabama would never again compete at the highest level in football in the mid 2000s. The idea that Alabama is never again going to be a program that regularly goes to the NCAA is equally ridiculous.

Neither one of them is an elite basketball job. Alabama is better just because the football program elevates the athletic department in general.

Ole Miss for the same reason Bama is a better football job than UK. Basketball will always be the Auburn of the Bama sports hierarchy.

Football success doesn't mean jack shite in relation to a basketball program. Whether historical or current. The number of arena seats don't mean that much either. Ask Duke

Shows what you know.

Bama has the 2nd most SEC wins.Bama has 7 regular season titles and 6 tourney titles.

Bama is 33rd in all-time wins in all of college basketball, with 1556 two games behind Ohio St and Oklahoma St who have played 12 and 4 more seasons.

We are ahead of Mich. St, Akansas, Tennessee and Mizzou in total wins.

In 1976 there was no seeding in the tourney. # 1 Indiana, #2 Marquette, #5 North Carolina and #6 Bama was all in the Mid East region in Baton Rouge.

Bama blitzed UNC by 15 and then played Indiana, Bama took the lead at 69-68 with 2:01 to play in a seesaw affair, Indian led 70-69 with under 30 seconds left but Bama had the ball, Bama missed an easy layup and had to foul, final score 74-69.

Indiana then beat Marquette by 9 and no one else in the tourney came within 15 of IU with Mich. Losing in the title game by 19.

Indiana finnished 32-0 and was the last mens team to go undefeated.

In 1972 or 1973 Bama and Vandy both went 15-3 but Vandy won the tie breaker and Bama stayed home, the conferences only got one team in the tournament in those days.

Bama has like 8 sweet 16s and a final 8 and the 1976 team didn't make the sweet 16 because of no seeding.

You have absolutly zero idea about Bama's college badketball credentials.

That's all great...but the question was about right now...

Cameron Indoor only holds less than the current tad pad.

Cameron is a joke. What you see on TV is not the reality. Place is a dump and will continue to be a dump. No TV cameras and the place is empty. Comparing the Tad Pad II to Cameron is shooting for the floor, not the moon.

Yeah but the point is about size not being directly correlated with support. And why build something we will never fill?

I would have to say bama. You can go winless, on the road, and keep your job. There aren't many schools where you can do that.

Bama. They can use their football to recruit, have very nice facilities and the pressure is much lower IMO.

Being the Ole Miss coach would cause you to live in Mississippi so Alabama is the better job.

Alabama has a proven past of being a consistently good basketball program. Alabama has been legit for the better part of 3 decades.

Ole Massa' is literally the worst job in the SEC. It rains inside your arena plus you are the only team in the conference without a regular season conference championship.

.....there isn't a person on this earth envious of the crap Ole Massa's athletic department produces.
