Obviously he won't play the role Corso did in terms of persona, but I think it's a real possibility.

Saban has worked hard to hone his broadcasting skills the last few years. He's not nearly as awkward as he used to be. He was an absolute pro last night

I've been quite positive for some time that he planned to retire within 5 years and go to ESPN. Wouldn't surprise me if they already have an agreement in principle.

ETA: in before short jokes

ETA: not sure if this should be on the CC board or not

The dude has the personality of a potato. He would be awful as a replacement for Corso.

He will have some role in the Gameday segment, just not sure if he'll replace Corso.

I'm surprised he likes it, if indeed he does.

Talk about an upgrade!

The other one that really impressed me yesterday was James Franklin. He was really good.

Did you watch last night? He was very good. Much more interesting and charismatic than Palmer or Tebow or Holtz

Disagree on Palmer. No opinion of Tebow yet. Holtz can DIAF.

It's what I like about having Gruden announcing a game is the Xs and Os talk is so much better and current to what teams do.

Corso last night said 60 years ago when he played for FSU... 60?!?

I'd rather listen to Saban talk.

Not sure Saban is the guy you want breaking down hurry up offenses.

Saban has improved a ton in front of the camera. I enjoy listening to him break down the game. I hope he goes in 2-3 years

ETA: how much would you guess Courso & etc make?

Does he have the ability to laugh or smile? I didn't watch all of him last night, but he doesn't strike me as a guy you would want to have a beer with.

I thought he was pretty good. Too much crazy hands but he would be much better than for corso or holtz

I think u are correct. Hate to agree with ya Roid but u are correct on this one. Saban was good last nigt and really got into it. Two surprises for me.

It was actually refreshing to see him enjoying himself.

I think he will leave coaching in 1-3 yrs and replace Corso. Corso's health may force Nick's hand sooner than later.

Too damn much laughing/smiling/clowning around with dumbass Corso & Dr. Lou bullshite. Saban is great at intelligently breaking down the game. He appeared surprisingly comfortable last night and did a great job IMO.
