Water under the bridge as what's done is done.

BUT: did the A&M nation attribute this loss to the one series in which Manziel was pulled from the game after he was hurt? If I'm not mistaken A&M went a 3 and out on this drive with the backup QB. Beforehand, Manziel was moving the ball up and down the field at will?

Um no, we couldn't get a stop in the 2nd half. No D.

Most will probably say that or the horsecollar. My view is when we had the lead earlier in the game, we had a chance to put Auburn away. We didn't do that. We turned the ball over in the redzone and didn't have the killer instinct that the 2012 team seemed to have when leading.

I don't attribute the loss to just that but yes I believe it was a part of it. Our total lack of defense had a much larger roll than that one series. Before you Aubies tell me defenses can't dtop the Gus Bus I agree your running game is hard to stop but that wheel route pass that we gave up hurt more than all the running

Yes... up by 7 on the 2 yard line and we had to put in our backup QB and came away with a FG going up 10...

We then go 3 and out the next drive, when JFF was moving at will...

So basically with the shite show D we had, JFF was our defense. You took him out and potentially 11 points. If JFF was in there, we would of went for it on 4th down on the goal line had he not gotten in on 3rd IMO

Do our pussy fans say that? Yes. In reality we lost because we had a horrible defense all year.

I think this was a game where Manziel was actually injured a lot more than we think.

He was shown in several pictures during the weeks of the last 3 games with tape on his hands, etc. Not sure what the story behind it is, they kept it pretty quiet.

They beat us fair and square, injured Manziel is better than most of the QBs in the country so we still could have won if we had better players/coaching

Couldn't make the stops on d is the main reason. However, that injury did happen at a critical time. We were up 7 down inside the 5 yard line and it was 3rd down. Joeckel missed an open Hicks in the corner of the endzone on the next play, and you could feel the change in energy in the stadium. That being said, we had our chances to make the stops to win the game and didn't, so you have to give Auburn credit for pulling out the W.

Was this the game he also hurt his knee? It really seemed to me he was hurt and didnt have his legs the last few games. The game against MIZ he looked half speed.

Thanks for making excuses for us, swine.

Here is an earth-shattering revelation about this 2013 A&M squad:

OUR........DEFENSE.........SUUUUUUUUUCCCCKKKSSS!!!

JFF tried to do too much because he was A) a cocky SOB trying to make impossible plays happen because, hey, he's JFF; B) JFF was pressured to make impossible plays because A&M's DEFENSE SUUUUUCKS!!!; C) a combination of "A" and "B" and a bit of shitty play-calling mixed in.

I'm going with "C" as the excuse.

So, let me get into excuse-making mode:

he-uhemm....

We would have won if our defense didn't suck and JFF didn't throw a bunch of interceptions, and our game plan wasn't rudimentary and predictable, and our defense didn't suck, and JFF didn't get hurt trying to do it all and talking shite to AU players, and had SC offered, and.....

Did I miss any?

he hurt his knee against Ole Miss... he hurt his shoulder against Auburn... he had a thumb injury (against LSU maybe?) that affected his play at Mizzou.

so I didn't read those post?

Revisionist history being what it is, you now might blame it on other things, but you sure as shite weren't blaming the D the day after. (you being a&m fans on this board, not you specifically, i think you were one of the more level headed ones after the game in all honesty).

Also I prefer barner, it's piggiDy not piggy.

He really had a lot of injuries this year which would worry me if I was him going forward. He plays recklessly and I guess we all know that. Anyway, he sprained his ankle in the 1h vs Mizzou which is why he looked so slow. AFAIK, his legs were fine vs LSU but he played the last 2 games with a broken thumb.

His knee injury was way back vs OM and from what I hear that was just tweaking an old injury. We had a brace ready to go for him on the sideline even. It didn't seem to particularly bother him after that week tbh.

He hurt his thumb at a Halloween party. I can't share the details because it was scandalous, perverted, illegal, and also in violation of about 30 NCAA regulations. Many jars were either filled or emptied, or both. Money jars, jizz jars, Vaseline jars, fudge topping jars, you name it.

Good thing he gone.

Are you telling me that no Aggies blamed the defense or the play-calling? You're telling me that all the Aggies were crying about the no-call on the horse collar, and everyone was say "but for the no-call, we would have won this game, period." Is that what you are saying?

Sounds to me like you a bit insecure and feel disrespected? Amirite?

We didn't go 3 and out at first, we settled for 3 points when we have the ball at the 2 yard line. Then we went 3 and out. Then the horse collar. It sucks, but that's the way the cookie crumbles. You need lots of luck to win in this league sometimes we had our fair share against Ole Miss, and this year Auburn has it in excess. Just the way it is.

it wasn't THE reason but it was certainly one of many factors that added up.

Auburn seemingly had every single big break fall their way in the second half of that game and to their credit they took full advantage.
