The reasoning behind why he has each team where they're at is why I didn't post them in numerical cliffs.

Bama should be higher because of their recruiting budget. It should be illegal to have that much money to play with. The state also has it's fair amount of talent.

Tennessee is about in the same boat. Until recently, and even then with the upsurge of TN talent, we've always had a ridiculous national recruiting budget due not having the instate talent that the LSUs, Georgias, and Floridas of the south have had. One of the long lasting positives Fulmer built in

Agreed. Alabama and especially Tennessee should be moved up. 12 years ago, Tennessee would be perceived as top 5 IMO.

I think Tenn is where they should be right now. I would assume heralds into account more than just the school. Their high school talent is pretty terrible.

I'd say as of right now, 17 is about right for us. The instate talent pool is growing pretty dramatically compared to where it has been the last 10 years though. Butch killed it this year and is off to a good start for 2015. Dudes just gotta keep boots on the ground and keep it rolling

Just confirms the under achieving nature of UGA.

bama and AU would both be higher if not for having to deal with each other.

Sorry but the "Aggies are weird" justification for ranking us lower is just stupid. College Station is also a nicer college town than many on his list. He admits we are currently out recruiting his #1 as well and A&M actually has superior facilities now, a better stadium and fanbase, comparable money, and are in a FAR better conference. You can come up with reasons to rate A&M lower but his reasoning is terrible.

This isn't to say Texas shouldn't rate highly, they should. It's just a stretch to overlook how far the BDF has fallen and to consider the LHN a positive for recruiting. All the LHN means is you have 2 or 3 games a year that no one sees, kids want to be on ESPN and not LHN.

UF also should be higher. Michigan and Stanford should be higher. Ohio State should not be #2.

Either pick the list based on how it should be regardless of current performance (meaning location, facilities, conference, etc.) or don't. Mixing it just loses credibility.

Or the fact that there are 8 SEC/ACC schools within 3 hours of our border (it's probably less, I just didn't feel like mapping it out). We have more competition for out instate talent than anyone. Not everyone grows up in Ga and dreams of being a bulldog like kids in Alabama and Louisiana.
