More Surprising 2013 National Champion: LSU or South Carolina:

Les Miles and LSU winning the NC in 2013 would be the most LSU thing since 2007. Everyone is projecting LSU to have a down year but typically this is when Les Miles is at his best
Spurrier has Jadeveon Clowney and 2 SEC-caliber QB's. If they can avoid their annual WTF loss and make it to the SEC Championship game, I see them holding up the last BCS trophy
I dont see any team making it out of the SEC undefeated which puts these two teams in great position to make a championship run. Which team would you be more surprised to see in the NC game?

Yeah it would surprise me....SEC will be tough this year.

I say LSU because most seem to think Alabama has the NC locked up or are picking A&M as a trendy pick. No one really has any expectations for LSU this year and that hasnt happened in a while. Just seems like the perfect scenerio for weekly Tiger Rant meltdowns as Les Miles trolls them like no one else can

There's absolutely zero chance of both teams even being close to qualification for inclusion in a casual hypothetical such as this

LSU, because of who they would have to beat to get there. Very reminiscent of the 2011 season IMO.

While I think LSU is always expected to do well if they were to go undefeted or have just 1 loss at the end of the year with there schedule it would hard to top on surprise meters.

LSU, USC has an easier schedule and a transformer at defensive end.
