Arguably his worst coaching performance at LSU other than 2008.

Probably his best coaching performance.

Not really. We were a buzzsaw until Tubbs ordered Chaz Ramsey to carry out the Code Red on Dorsey. Our Defense wasn't the same until the BCSCG.

USC would be the most surprising in name only, but I would be absolutely shocked if LSU could go undefeated or even 1 loss considering they have very few proven stars returning and an absolute monster of an SEC schedule.

I mean after 2010 all we heard was no way LSU replaces PP7, Nevis and Kelvin Shepard. We played a ton of young guys that year and they showed out in 2011 obviously. Not calling for that to happen again but it wouldn't be THAT surprising considering. People forget (or ignore) that LSU played the 2nd most true freshmen in the country last year and we didn't lose nearly as much as people think (34 of 44 on the 2 deep are back).

Chaz Ramsey, Corndogs, and Cigars . . . Words that will live in eternal LSU infamy

Meh. Dorsey's injury is not why you lost to Arkansas and Kentucky.

Oh and.....

He was as big a gamechanger as I've seen. You can nitpick coaching decisions here and there like you can with anyone but the fact of the matter is that we were not nearly as good a team without Glen Dorsey.

LSU lost to Kentucky before Auburn gave the code red on Dorsey. And although he was banged up after that, the injury was not severe enough for him to miss a single game. Still, a banged up and sore Dorsey is no excuse for what was supposed to be one of the best defenses ever to give up 34 points to a 7-6 Alabama team and then have Arkansas run all over you at home in a must win game.

I just don't think 2007 was one of Miles' best coaching performances, despite the national title. I tend to agree that the guy is a better coach with an underdog team.

Oh and Nick Fairley was much more dominant than Dorsey. Dorsey got all the media hype, but Fairley's last season was much more dominant than any Dorsey produced IMO.

I'm not trying to say it was his best coaching job or anything but of the 8 it would be better than some. The gutsy calls he made in those Florida and Auburn wins were pretty epic.

Basically, I think of LSU as the SEC's crazy uncle from Lou-weez-ziana who's a roaring good time until his pisses on the carpet

To be fair, we thought the carpet was Auburn's face.

Les Miles and LSU winning the NC in 2013 would be the most LSU thing since 2007. Everyone is projecting LSU to have a down year but typically this is when Les Miles is at his best

A down year for LSU is 10-3. Miles has won AT LEAST 10 games in 6 of his first 8 seasons as a SEC head coach. It's literally never been done before in the SEC. He also has 5/8 11 wins seasons( I think).

dont see any team making it out of the SEC undefeated which puts these two teams in great position to make a championship run. Which team would you be more surprised to see in the NC game?

If Bama doesn't go undefeated , then they have underachieved IMO. Now if Bama loses a game and still wins the BCSCG , then it doesn't matter. But if that one loss knocks Bama out of the BCSCG, IMO it's an underachieving season for Bama.
Bama plays 2 good SEC teams with a bye week before A&M and LSU. They should be double digit favorites for the rest of their games.
