Best as far as talent goes- 2008.

there are like 16 players from that team in the NFL now. Michael Oher, Peria Jerry, Mike Wallace, Jamarca Sanford, Dexter Mccluster, Greg Hardy, just to name a few.

I'm sure bama has looked into the future with their new locker room time machine and picked the easiest opponents from the east for that season j/k

Statistically, it would be 1938.

Finished 11-0 while outscoring our opponents 293-16 and starting a streak of 17-straight shutout games and 71-straight shutout quarters (Both NCAA records that will never be topped) and gave UT our first National Title.

Now, 1939's team shut out every single opponent they faced during the regular season, but lost to USC in the 1940 Rose Bowl.

2011... Had they not shite the bed in the championship game they would've went down as one of the greatest ever! That defense was so fast and just down right nasty.

I think 2011 was Bama's best team ever too

The football gods were so kind to them that year....until the very end when the REC signed a contract with Saban's little brother Lucifer

2004. Solid across the board. I'd love to see what they could've done if they hadn't had to endure the Tubershell.

It's too bad that we both had to have that great of a team during the same season

2004 was a sick Auburn team. With us I guess I have to go with 2011. If we don't shite the bed they go down as one of all time greats. 58 and 59 teams were really good too.

Maybe 1979, maybe 2009. I think the team that would beat all of our other teams is 2011 however
