You're gonna need to fight your fellow LSU fans over this, I've heard time and again how 2011 was LSU's best team ever and they got robbed.
Among the LSU fans on here I am the resident historian so for these kinds of questions you can look to me at the authority on the Bayou Bengals

I'd be interested in seeing how many NFL players came from those two teams.

Would say 2011 but we craped the bed in New Orleans. Probably 2003 followed by 2011 and 58.

2011 was LSU's best team ever, they just had the misfortune of existing in a year were Bama had one of their best teams ever.

I'm with you, the best all around college football team I have seen. If not for the Ole Miss blemish, people talk about this team much differently. Although, maybe it took that loss to really awaken all of that team's potential.

Our 06 team would have raped our '10 and '11 squads.

2011... Had they not shite the bed in the championship game they would've went down as one of the greatest ever!
Yeah, I'm glad that you recognize they don't have a strong case for the GOAT.

That defense was so fast and just down right nasty.
These 11/5/11 highlights show it all.
