2011 was the most complete Bama team in my lifetime but I can't recall the 70's team's very well.

That 2011 team was something special. Though if things come together I believe our '13 team could rival it.

Even if Bama repeats there's not a snowballs chance in hell yal's 2013 squad is on 2011's level. Not a chance.

1969. Broyles was just a choke artist of a coach.

That team was pretty well balanced, had a stingy stingy Defense that created turnovers, vicious line, could run it, pass it, etc.

Losing the Game of the Century, set the tone of coming up just short that has plagued Arkansas football ever since. Bielema will break the Broyles Curse though.

Which is a complete 180 from how LSU fans were talking about that team before 1/9.

I'd be interested in seeing how many NFL players came from those two teams.

That 06 team was nasty, too bad they got screwed against AU and kinda beat themselves against us.

The talent is there to rival it. The defense will not be as good but the offense is shaping up to be a record breaker.

It really depends on what do you mean by "best". Best team relative to their era or if you lined all teams up today to play, who would win? If it's the latter, then almost everyone's team should be within the last 25 years.

Sure there is. Our Offense will most likely easily be better, and our D might be slightly worse, but still really good. ST might be better.

I just always remember Jamarcus fumbling on the goal line and the fumble on the kickoff.

I will say it till I am blue in the face. Alabama's most talented team was 2010. Not close. I think Saban would agree. I also think that season was the worst coaching job he has done in his career. I think Saban would agree as well.

As good as he was.. he made some real bonehead plays at times. But, I think the the entire country knows that now.

2011 was Alabama's best year, and it was LSU's best as well. Unfortunately the distribution of great teams is not equitable, and in 2011 you had what were probably the two best SEC teams of the BCS era. Another stacked year that comes to mind is 2005 with Texas and USC. Either of those teams - just like Bama and LSU in 2011 - would have won the title in most other years.
