AJC...

quote:

Harvey-Clemons, a rising sophomore from Valdosta, was implicated in an incident involving the use of marijuana in a UGA dorm room on May 15. Also involved in that incident was teammate Ty Flournoy-Smith, a sophomore tight end from Moultrie. Flournoy-Smith, who was also arrested on an unrelated misdemeanor charge in February, was advised last week by coach Mark Richt to transfer to a junior college.

They didn't find any pot. If JHC just kept his mouth shut about smoking a blunt there would be no issue here. You can't suspend somebody for having bloodshot eyes.

Also, don't smoke in dorms and this isn't an issue.

But I thought this is the highest character team we've ever had.

Never having had an inkling of desire to temporarily render myself a moron, I've never smoked pot, so I've gotta ask - what the frick is so compelling about weed that these kids can't resist?

Smoking pot is hardly an indication of poor character

The scale in Ty Smith's possession is a bigger issue, since that indicates that he was dealing.

Rarely more than 2-3. Don't get me wrong - I admire stoner logic. I doubt that there's a more creative human force on the planet, but if you know that you're on the team that has the most strict drug penalties in the SEC? Damn.

when will the AJC just roll over and die. quit fighting it, arse holes, it's inevitable!

ETA: jimmy can eat a bowl of dicks. i can't wait to become rich and use my money and corruption to take over the BOT, the city, and then the AD. i'll start first by firing that asshat and replacing him with someone i know who will make the right call when it comes to georgia players.

what a prick.

Lest we forget, this makes strike 2 for JHC:

Four University of Georgia football players were in the car with sophomore running back Isaiah Crowell when he was arrested on weapons charges Thursday night in Athens. Players in car with Crowell: Josh Harvey-Clemons, Sheldon Dawson, Blake Tibbs and Quintavius Harrow. All were let go at the scene.

based off the weak saucitude of the crimes i'd say this merits 1.5 strikes. or 1 strike.

If I recall correctly JHC was in the car with Isaiah Crowell when Crowell was arrested for the weapons charge that ultimately got him booted from the team. And the car, according to police, smelled heavily of marijuana....

CMR will give him 2 games for this...

ETA: Dawgfarker beat me to it..lol..

I don't think this counts as strike 2 for him though because he was never actually charged or implicated in the Crow incident. If it is, these would be the gheyest 2 strikes in the history of strikes

It's not even a fricking arrest. It is literally just paperwork that has to be filed by the PD detailing what happened. You have to be thumbing through pages upon pages of shite to find this and do a write up on it.

frick it, I'm going there: the kid shouldn't be suspended because a.) he wasn't arrested b.) he had no weed on him c.) he was at least honest about it.

Make him run steps until his lungs bleed like every other school int he conference and let it go. Just giving the AJC shite to make news out of by turning this into a big deal
