Why in the world would you want to risk everything on an uncertain coaching search that very likely will give you a replacement that wins fewer games? It just doesn't make sense.

He's not a top coach in football, or even very close.
Get over his damn record LSU fans, good god.
No one that follows College Football thinks Miles is a top end coach. No one.
Upgrading wouldn't be that hard.

Someone needs to start a thread about coaches that were "in demand" and thought to be new blood that turned out to be flops. Miles has done what few people can do, regardless of where they are. LSU, Alabama, Texas, USC, or any other good football program is susceptible to a downturn. People drive me crazy.

Agreed. But I don't know why some refuse to give him any credit. How the hell can you just not consider his record? You can't say because he's at LSU. There have been other big time programs where coaches have not been able to succeed.

Yeah, and I'd be willing to bet you he's in the top 5 for all FBS coaches for offensive 3 and outs for his career.

Just the truth, Miles sucks, lives off of assistants and being in one of the easiest recruiting states in all of college football.
You could pick 20 college coaches and they'd do just as well as Miles at LSU. Maybe even better with a legit QB they could develop.
2 of the last 3 years, Les Miles is heading to the Cotton Bowl and Outback Bowl, no thanks.
