Taking a look at the Mizzy CBs

Again, just a look at their HS rankings since there's not time to review film. Just an intro.
First two are projected starters:
Kip Edwards - 5.6 three star - TX
EJ Gaines - 5.7 Arky material - MZ
Randy Ponder - 5.5 three star - OK
David Johnson - 5.5 three star - TX no state or national ranking
Kevie DeFranc - no rating at all shows committed to Harvard - from FL ????
Xavier Smith - 5.7 Arky material - OK
Ernest Payton - 5.5 star - TX
Tigers, if you have more detailed info to share please do. I don't know what else to provide as an intro to your position groups.

You're going to create a thread for each group of Mizzou players to reach the conclusion that Mizzou can't compete with the type of players we currently have.
Go ahead. Continue to dismiss our coaching staff's ability to 100 percent coach up players. When Mizzou beats Florida this year (merely my prediction), I'd like you to come on here and start a thread questioning how we did it with 3 star players against Florida's 4 and 5 star players.
Start that thread and we'll come back on here and politely educate you...again.

EJ Gaines first team All-Big 12 cornerback last year, set school season record for knocked down balls, Pinkel thinks he is becoming the best corner he has ever had. Is on various preseason All-SEC teams though not first team since you all think we suck.
Kip Edwards started 11 games last year and has been seeing PT/starting games since he was a rookie. Solid second starter.
Randy Ponder aka "Big Possum" started 2 games and played in every game as our nickel back. Nickname allegedly is either because he sticks his nose everywhere on the field, or just because he kinda looks like a possum, depending on who you ask. He is the main backup.
Xavier Smith is still hanging onto the fourth spot in the rotation and has some solid experience, but during the fall camp happening now, Ernest Payton and David Johnson (the other two three star TX guys you mention) are expected to challenge him hard.

Incorrect. For the last time, as the Tigers from the North will tell you, I know nothing about them. Now I know a little bit more.
Mizzy hasn't been on TV in FL in ages that I'm aware of and even if they were I wouldn't have had a reason to watch with all the SEC games on tv.

Actually you are dead wrong, that is the ONE area where SEC shite talk is completely unfounded and whats up is down as far as league comparisons go. Yes you guys play defense well, but your offenses are NOT as wide open and pass oriented as the Big 12. Our corners guard guys like Justin Blackmon and Ryan Broyles and Jeff Fuller and so on every game - and if you don't believe in them, well the NFL does so you are flat wrong. If there is ONE area where SEC fans DO NOT have any logical reason to be smug jerkfaces, it is toward the Big 12's top wide receivers and the amount of work that corners in that league have to put in guarding those pass happy offenses the league has had for years now. Sorry. You don't get this one. Go talk about your gigantic-but-fast defensive tackles in the SEC some more and we will go back to quaking in our boots.
