Just heard on Mississippi sports this morning that om plans on announcing this tonight. This will match the 150 million that state has spent on athletic marketing.

"All that, and fill up a bigger football stadium. A stadium that the school doesn't quite fill up now."

That's going to make a lot of room for the 40k that actually go to their games!

"Understand, Ole Miss doesn't sell out every game as it is. Capacity of Vaught-Hemingway is 60,580. Last year, Ole Miss averaged 55,898. The year before, it was 55,767. When completed, the expansion will boost stadium capacity over 70,000."

We filled them up in 2008 and 2009.

It's tough to fill up a stadium for a season like we had last year but we're not exactly planning to go 4-8 ever season.....

Hopefully this expansion will be done in time for the next Tennessee game to accommodate our West Tennessee fans.

With the stadium expansion I wonder if they will make the "SEC WEST CHAMPS" banner bigger?

That's 300 million for the poorest state in the nation. 90,000 season tickets sold between the two schools. Says a lot about the spirit of MSU/OM football that in this economy we are going forward and trying to compete in this meat grinder
