I talked to Ron Dayne today and asked him if he talked to Cam at the Heisman Ceremony. He said he did and that he was going pro. When asked about the lock out, his reply there is too much money for the owners to lose if they have the lock out and it will be fixed before the season. Just alittle bit of the conversation. He was with Coach Bobby Bowden, Gene Stallings and others at a meet and greet overseas. Take it for what its worth.

I wouldn't be surprised if he re-signs with Auburn.

He's obviously going pro, he's being talked about as a top 10 pick. Considering our entire OL is graduating he'd be a fool to stay.

I don't think that is much of a surprise. People have been speculating that Cam would be one and done from about the midpoint of the season on. He has the Heisman, the team won the SEC, and if they win the BCS what more could he do by comign back next season? He will be at the peak of his draft potential coming off this year.

Was that 180 large for one season only and paid in a lump sum, or if Auburn exercises the option for next year, does he have to come back

I disagree. let's say he comes back and works hard, get's alot better as a passer, and plays well behind the new o.line would there be any doubt he would be the #1 QB in the 2012 NFL draft?

This year he will be the 2nd or 3rd QB.

I say he goes into free-agency and will end up at SMU next year.

If the NFL has a lock-out, wouldn't it benefit him to come back to Auburn so he doesn't miss a paycheck? Maybe a little less, at least he's still getting paid...

Wow how original thank you for adding so much to the thread.

We all know Cam is going pro why wouldn't he I mean what more does he need to prove? Silly to think otherwise.

Somebody is talking out their arse. The owners are guaranteed money even if the season is canceled.....fact; look it up

Lots of talk that he may come back, the kid values his education. If he stays Cam may be the first QB taken, would be him or Mallet

But if he comes back and suffers an injury that could effect his draft potential, it would mean money lost. Top 10 money is top 10 money. To be the number 1 QB or 2nd or 3rd ain't worth the risk. As he has said, apparently multiple times, the money is just too much.

that's great and the nfl is great about helping players get their education. But when you're picked as the best player in the ENTIRE draft you don't come back.

wouldn't be surprised if Locker jumps back up.
