For the life of me I just don't see the logic in all of our fans wanting to make Matt Luke the permanent coach. They bash LSU for hiring a career position coach who talks like them and walks like them but want us to do the same thing. How would that be any different?
Matt Luke is a great guy and I wish him the absolute best. I hope he gets a head coaching job at an AAC school next year and absolutely kills it but we don't have to hire him. Our program is better than that still. If you want for Matt Luke to get the full-time head coaching job then I have just one question for you- tell me one thing that he has done that gives you confidence that he can have us competing on a national level?
I'll wait.

Who are all these fans who want Luke? I see people posting that, but I have not talked to one person who wants that, and all the posts I've seen are people calling him the worst coach in college football.

I mean if we get the two year bowl ban I don't think he would be an awful hire... what could we hope for if we got the two year bowl ban?

Not fans per se, but people around the program. Yancy Porter is obviously in his camp.

I'd also like to say if we hired him with the NCAA accepting our self imposed sanctions. I would boycott the program until we fired both Bjork and him.

Luke is not the worst coach in college football. I won't be providing research to back my opinion, but I'm fairly confident in saying that.

Pros:
Is an Ole Miss man.
Cons:
sucks at recruiting, coaching oline, and being the head coach.
We have enough talent to beat Arkansas and not look like we did against any team w/ a pulse.

Luke will not be the next Head Coach.
Bjork made that clear on Head to Head.

I heard someone from the M Club saying all the players want Luke and that if it comes out that Freeze did have institutional control of the program then he will be re-hired.
