Yes, we pay enough to get a real HC and not some coordinator.

He's had one season as a head coach. Do. Not. Want.

He hasn't coached on the FCS level in more than a decade. Is this really who you want?

Remember the last time we hired a dominant coach from the FBS? Yeah, I do too. We're still feeling the effects of Longo.

At this point I'll take Air Bud. Just anything we've got over what is happening now.

I'm with you. Air Bud wouldn't have given up on that interception. Would set a real tone at the top.

If we do reach down and get a coach from a lower division and relatively new I hope we do our due diligence and take into account what kind staff he looks to bring. Don't overpay for the HC if there will be no $$$ left for coordinators who are worth a shite.

Damn he just shat all over Autzen Stadium.

I've never been there but it looks like a smaller version of the Liberty Bowl, with nike money put in it. I always thought it was an overrated home field advantage. Sounds like Leach feels the same.

Can't we just date a coach for a year or two?

We really need a break from a head coach for a while

What is the consensus opinion on Mike MacIntyre and Jason Candle?

I like MacIntyre a lot. I don’t put too much stock on the off-the-field problems but our administration might after the Freeze debacle. Colorado was a complete dumpster fire when he was hired and he has completely turned that program around.

I think the jury is still out on Jason Candle. I think he is a good coach but I wonder how much of his success at Toledo is because of him personally. Tim Beckman and Matt Campbell already had that program rolling when he was promoted.

The shine may be coming off MacIntyre a bit. Other than last year, check his Pac 12 record. I know the program sucked when he took over, but to get him you would probably have to break the bank, and I wouldn't throw huge money at someone with that many Ls on their record.

I think Matt Campbell at Iowa St is a better candidate if you want an established Power 5 HC. But with his buyout, you would be paying BIG money.

Candle is someone OM should talk to IMO. The knock on him is going to be the same as Wilson - not a lot of experience and coaching in a low-level conference.
