You know I'm on board 100 percent firing Wommack, but the defense didn't look awful in the 2nd half yesterday for the first time all season. Really think Fadol being closer to 100 percent is making a world of differance. Secondary is young and inexperienced, bound to make mistakes. Real problem with the team is the linebackers are horrible, the defensive tackles aren't looking too hot either. Mentioned above they play angles and guess wrong 50 percent of the time. We are awful against the read option. Seeing what Tom Allen has done turning around an awful USF defense and coaching a good defense at Indiana, I'd do anything to get him back. Keep Kiffin, everyone else goes.

I get that, I bet the new guy would have seen yesterday's game and keep him though.

Even if he doesn't Freeze still needs to fire his staff. Which isn't happening.

Tom Allen and freeze didn't see eye to eye on things.

Well Freeze needs to look at things in a different manner..... As in results. What we had in 2014 was working. What we have now isn't cutting it. He is one of the top 10 paid HC's in the country and his job is to get results on and off the field. Failing that then he needs to find new line of work.

I'd love to sit down with Aranda or what we know to be a really good defensive coordinator and watch Ole Miss defensive film and get their take on what they see.

I can translate: "they have decent enough talent, young guys but no ones knows what the hell they're supposed to do. That boils down to coaching. Let me come in here and we'll get a top 20 defense and then this team will win."

I don't think that's what they'd say.

I think they'd say dude outside of #3 your LBs are hot garbage.

^. He'd say secondary is young, defensive tackles and linebackers are a mess. Does their coach even teach them angles or working together to fill gaps? Real defensive coordinator would get this unit turned around though rather quickly. Hit the recruiting trail for some linebackers and coach the secondary

This shitty defense couldn't stop a sun belt team and therefore Chad had to play meaningful snaps in the 2nd half.

it really puts in perspective when you think about it like that. our defense is fricking shitty. how can you be a shooting-for-the-top mid tier SEC team and not stop a Sun Belt team? we fricking suck

Boy oh boy, we did get gashed at times, didn't we? Amazing what a difference a year can make. I sat in the Superdome watching Ole Miss toy with Oklahoma State in January and now look at us. That Ole Miss team might have been a Top 4 team at the time and now we can't stop Georgia Southern. When this is all said and done (and good gravy do I hope I'm wrong) we might only have wins over Wofford, Georgia, Memphis and Georgia Southern. What a weird and disappointing season.

What I hate about Hugh is that he is a taking a desperate measure to save the season in playing Shea.

But he won't fire a non-recruiting terrible DC.

The worst part about this defense is miss assignments. We see guys running uncovered in this defense way to many times.

Also what is up with the offensive play calling. A&M knows that when Pellarin enters we are running the ball
