^^^ Wow. That's sorta like the ultimate "football timeout."

From the other thread

I'd wait a year to get rid of Wommack then bring in Travaris Robinson, USCe's DC. A little bias as an Auburn fan (he played at AU) but the guy is an absolute stud in the making

-Former Recruiter of the year
-Muschamp has been grooming him for years
-Success as DC at USCe year 1
-All of the kids he eval'd (including 3*s) have been studs for Auburn

Willie Gay decommitted this morning. Visited Michigan this past weekend and supposedly fell in love. Wonder how much it had to do with watching that LSU mess also? Said it before, the lack of talent on defense is as much on Wommack and his system as our poor play is. These kids see they can start here early but then have to be asking themselves where they will be in 3 years down the road vs if they went to a school like Florida, Michigan, or Bama that plays dominant defense.

How much longer do we have to put up with this shite??? 300+ rushing yards for aubs.. my dog could coach defense better than this.

It's depressing. I don't know if we have anyone that can act as interim defensive coordinator, but if we do, I want Wommack fired tonight.

If Wommack wasn't fired after LSU, he's not fired tonight. It's a lost cause

I don't doubt it. Seriously. Like put two defensive play choices 5 feet in front of the dog, and those 2 plays are 5 feet away from each other. Put a piece of deli meat next to each option. Whichever "play" the dog picks, we should run that play.

I'm salty as frick and have a hangover that would make the God's cry today. In between Gatorade sips and Premium saltines, I just checked my phone on the ever dreaded "Let's hope I didn't make too much of an arse of myself last night" detective work. I had the usual melt texts between my family and friends who are Rebels, but I had one interesting blackout call...around 3:35 AM I had a call that lasted twelve minutes to Bjork. I have no recollection of speaking to him, so I assume I left him a voicemail. I'd pay to hear that one. I'm not really embarrassed, as I'm confident I slurred the truth. I'll keep y'all updated as to if I get a response. I'm sure he has plenty of them to go through today.

I don't even want to know what I would have said last night if I had Bjork's number

Who gets fired at the end of the year? Do you think Freeze has the balls to fire anyone? Will Tom Allen be back next year?

I've really had nightmares about this. I think we are all exaggerating he will have to fire someone or at least make them step down from an on the field coach.

Same, I think there's a good chance he won't. He's going to write it off as "being young and with unfortunate injuries". I'd bet Bjork thinks he's earned it enough to give them one more year to turn things around. We shall see, but I won't believe it until I see it.

Everyone one has injuries every year. We have injury excuses every damn year.

That would be terrible. Got to cut the arm off before the gangrene kills the whole body.

Some talk on the local sports radio show about it being 50/50 for Freeze being back next year. What am I missing? I just don't see this at all.

Just idiots trying to stir the shite pot. I don't think there's a single person anywhere who would actually believe/think that.

If anyone wants Freeze gone they're high. He needs new assistants...that's all.

The only way he's gone is if the NCAA hands him a show cause.
