this is terrible. We have to make changes ASAP. I hope the NCAA closes out their investigation so we can make some better hires.

I agree, the team hasn't quit. It is honestly how bad the coaching is. There is talent there but it is apparent that concepts aren't being translated to the players.

I'm not sure the talent is there. We got a secondary full of freshmen. They bound to make mistakes. LB we got Gates and a bunch of bodies that wouldn't see the field at any other SEC team. DL has a little depth inside but DE is thin.
OL has about 5 players at this point. WR is deep. RB the best vision is in two guys on the sideline in street clothes.

Why the hell would Aranda leave LSU for Ole Miss? The talent he has on D there and in-state with Ed O recruiting is unbeatable.

This defense is pathetic and has been progressively worse since Allen left after 2014.
I had been saying we need to can Wommack and his mini-me while keeping Kiffen. Now I say wipe the slate clean and can everyone of them. Whatever we do, we need to get a good D.C. that has shown the ability to teach fundamentals and can bring some fresh hungry good recruiting assistants with him.

Fire the entire defensive staff and open up the check book. That may be kind of hard to do since Freeze is the 9th highest paid coach in college football. Time to freeze Freeze's compensation package; incentives only.

No doubt. To have been so highly touted I rarely see them do the type things really good defensive lines from other teams do like blow up at least a hand full of plays deep in the backfield. I will say I am liking that Fadol Brown seems to be close to healthy. Maybe that will be just the thing to get us to 6 wins at least in part.

I am on board on canning the entire defensive staff and starting new. Rewatched the game this morning and our defensive fundamentals are horrible! The secondary has talented players galore but lack just basic skills that are coachable. Our linebackers are just autrocious. There are some guys we could work with. Gates has potential and instincts. Polk has instincts and heart but bless his heart he can't shed a block and is way to slow. Our D-Line is doing nothing but angles which half the time wrong. The simple things like hand fighting and knocking down OL hands are not being done consistently. Fadol did a great job holding the point of attack. Evans, Speaks and Benito have tons of potential but we need to coach them up. Long story short Bjork needs to give Freeze a blank check to go recruit a solid D.C. who is comfortable with a HUNH offense and will bring in his own staff.
