Thank God our current team is good. Wish the schedule was a little more manageable this year though. These OOC games in the other team's state is for the damn birds...

We better get Cam or losing Ty Chandler is gonna be huge.

I would love to have Cam but I don't think it would be the end of the world if we didn't get him. We have a lot of depth at running back. Everything I've heard coming out of camp is that Eric Swinney is the best running back Ole Miss has had in a long time and D'Vaughn Pennamon is a special talent that will redshirt. I thought besides Hartsfield, Pennamon was the steal of the 2016 class. Remember when Mark Dodson was a cant miss player? This offense will do just fine with or without him but, God I hope we get him.

Yeah to add to your glass half full approach, the top player in the state next year is a RB and we lead for a potential 5* in Asa Martin. Getting neither would help us next year with both. I think the loss though is most think Akers could be the greatest RB in OM history

Yeah it would suck but I would trade him for a 5 star LB any day. Gay is more important.

I think the message that would be sent by us getting Akers is arguably more important than the talent itself. If he does commit, it establishes that elite Mississippi talent goes to Ole Miss, regardless of what's going on around us. Plus Akers could be the most gifted Mississippi offensive players we've landed since like Brassel and Donte.

The RB* from ms in 2018 is Fabian Franklin. And he is a huge LSU fan and probably an LSU lock.

Asa Martin 2018 Img Rb does seem really high on us though

I wanted ty Chandler so bad. Damn just damn

I heard the same thing about Enrique Davis. I think he piled up about 800 career rushing yards over 4 years before opening an auto detail venture or something.

He wasnt recruited or ranked or thought of in the same way Cam is, but ok.

I'm a glass half empty kind of guy where ole miss is concerned right now. Going to melt if we miss out on cam.

At this point I could care less about this class. I just want to avoid a bowl ban. Recruits come and go.

With no bowl ban we will finish between 15 to 25 with a class that we can build on in coming years.

That's my hope...if we escape with no bowl ban we will finish with a top 20ish class..considering what all has went down I would consider that a big win

Yeah we just need a few solid pieces.

But if by a miracle this gets cleared up this class could be phenomenal.

are you assuming a conclusion prior to signing day? because that is my greatest fear. I don't see how we get a bowl ban period. I am more worried about the timing of the outcome.
